there were definitely games with free maps not only from the community but the developers too. Rainbow 6, Rainbow Six: RS, UT99, UT2K3, UT2k4. Those are just the order of FPS games I played that offered that up until then… there are plenty more. Diablo II also added content for free. Just because it wasn’t called DLC doesn’t mean it’s not what it is because that’s exactly what it is.

Most likely the DLC releases will coincide with eachother and since Xbox Live releases new content on Tuesdays I suppose it will be a Tuesday for every platform. Besides Who releases content on a Monday?

NOBODY will buy this game new off the shelf at this point and then pay fir additional content without a major price point drop at retail. Im talking like $29.99. Bethesda must have a death wish for you guys.

I dont think SD is dicking their community over; I blame big business. No dev team wants this mess.

Unless the title update combined with the DLC is THAT exceptional…you’ll possibly regain older players bitbretail sales will stay flat.

Well Brink is already £12.99 in GAME when it originally retailed for £25.
Sure its the website but no one buys in store.
And this is GAME for godsakes, they kept Smash Bros Brawl at full price for 2-3years

No, I never made a day up in my head. I’m tired of guessing, that’s pretty much it they don’t tell us a thing and they give us even less so I’m tired of complaining about it to them. Not totaally there fault the ball is really in Bethesda’s court it’s just annoying me lately more than when the team realeased the info last month.

Hes speechless over a DLC that has been dragging on for too long and is very much needed if wants to carry on playing the game, without getting any kind of information or update or the company speaking to him in any way apart from them saying it was delayed when it was ‘supposed’ or ‘planned’ to be released

They wouldn’t shut up before the game came out about how good it was, and now they wont say anything atall apart from 1 post in a month… if he wants to feel speachless about the DLC I dont blame him.

i summarize:

game is released on 13th may 2011.

“the new breed” of gamers screams for dlc around 1 month after release.

almost 2 months after release people go nuts about the not yet released dlc.

almost 2 months gets you bored? 8 maps, 20 levels, 4 classes, 2 factions, dunno how many abilities, weapons, attachments…

how long will it take for 2 new maps, no new classes, no new weapons, some new abilities, some new attachments and 4 levels to get you bored then? mathemtically just a few days.

when will you start screaming for the second dlc? what will you do if there is no 2nd dlc? will you kill yourself finding out there is no more reason for you to be in this world?

get a perspective.

If people want a reason to play the game they payed full price for that are bored of already, whether it means it will only keep them occupied for less than a week or a few months, then I dont blame them.

wow, way to take it to a whole new level… get a perspective? how about get a life. The only reason people started wanting THE DLC is because THEY told us it was coming one month after the realease. so take your skewed view of reality somewhere people might give a **** what you have to say.

P.S. I still play this game a lot, I just want what they keep telling me I’ll get.

yea, i wanted to put it a bit more mature and sophisticated. you got me though.

it still is my point though. i dont understand what all the fuzz is about. i mean, can someone explain it to me with actual facts? some links with sources also work for me. then explain to me why everyone is so upset, using the facts that we got so far.

and then i may or may not understand the “rage” people currently have. i actually start to feel sorry for the folks that start a new topic or post every day about their demand for the dlc. if this is what concerns you in your life, then… you get the rest.
