I would be amazed if the masterserverlist would return. Like seriously why would they put the effort in returning a list if they don’t even have the time to inform us. Like how many seconds will it take to tweet “don’t worry guys, the masterserverlist will be back sometime”. Instead we get this mysterious tweet “we are looking in to the problem”. That was 2 and a half months ago.

I think it’s not a priority at the moment for them. Try to visualize a To-Do list of a firm, maybe it’s priority is very low; Since they said they’re looking into it, it means this is in fact on the said To-Do list though :slight_smile: Personally I’m no more waiting for a long time, last time I used MS list was in 2009. Since then I found a home and the other servers are suggested by friends of mine… But I still feel concerned since it was the lungs of ET :confused: And all the newbies are not aware of it (Maybe with the latest Just Pub they’ll be aware of PB drop x) ), that’s why cheese/schnoog and other people try to make a one whole ET unit installer.

I didn’t use the MS list for a long time either, but it will definitely kill the game for newcomers and in the end for us all. And it would have been cool if they just informed us that it would go down at some point in time. My clan already ordered the server for the next 2 years. We wouldn’t have done this if we knew that the masterserverlist would have gone down.

Of course there will no more be rotation between the usual players stopping and new ones coming… But in a sense, an old game, there would have been less and less new people showing up and keeping playing. But ofc it’s not a reason to not get up this list…

Yeah, one of my co owners just purchased a server for a year, and this is at gameservers.com so you know it cost him.

While I don’t think the sd list will come back, it should not matter if Rudi’s Host Service gets installed on everyone’s computer. This is why I am bugging people (not going to mention names) to add it to their installer. It’s also why I took it upon myself to make a psudo installer that does all of this. Its not for my health, I think we really need to get this service included. With an installer that does everything, we can begin to put links everywhere there is a WolfET.exe download…and get some players back.

Still a bit disappointed, but I am asking (probably for the last time) Is there any news? Did SplashDamage contacted ID, or did they just #nothing. If so? What did they say and can we still look forward to a comeback of the serverlist Yes? WHEENN.

And please… dont come with the answer : “They are still busy to repair the machine”. Well then IDSOFTWARE to put the subdomain name of the masterlist to the “unofficial serverlist”
