For now we’re few to complaint openly here… The others have taken the “temporary fixes”, which seem to be less… temporary now.

Yes, 3000, but when it was the case for how many players? I don’t mean there’s less now, I mean there were way too much servers before compared to the amount of players; Now with clans taking a single server, or reducing from 5 to 2 or 1 server, they pay less, they have more people, they’re happy.

But the ones having nobody before will still have nobody now…

ETPro servers still populated, like clan servers.

I’d be more focused on finding a way to track down the asshole bot herders with their ridiculous udp floods, since it seems isps dont care to do that.

i havent responded on some of your stupid halleluja posts before, as i respected we werent at the same opinion., What about you starts to show the same courtesy to others that aint sharing your deep and devoted love to ID?

so what if you have run a server a few days/months/years, and so what if you run it from home and dont have to pay, and so what if you think that the Sun arises when ID wokes up and goes down when they get to sleep again, I couldnt care less about your opinions

fact is that there are less ppl playing the game now than there was a month ago, so Tankey has a point that will show on many clanservers.

ID could have been way more fourthcomming on this, some statements saying whats happenning or whats not happening would have been a nice gesture. idc if they let the masterserver stay down, aslong as i know thats whats going to happen, then we can start acting and get our stuff sorted all of us that have a clear interest in this.

So Blindman and mateos feel free to trash talk to me about doomsday and negative ppl and immature kids etc etc as you usually does when someone has some critical words against your beloved ID

it has taken more than a month now, would be cool to get a clear message about the future of the ID masterlist, so we have somthing to react on.

read my lips, I DONT CARE. If you want to sit around and wallow in self pity go right ahead, I couldn’t care less. Id was NEVER under any obligation to say anything, they provided a service and decided, unfortunately, that its time had come. If I am proved wrong on this in the near future then so be it, but sitting around waiting for them obviously isn’t working, so I choose to keep doing what i do.

Thats the problem, some people on here dont know how to react and they’re waiting for the id gods to show them the light, well newsflash, it aint happening, and without it they are lost.

Beloved ID? how did you get that from anything I posted? I dont like anymore than anyone but facts is facts.
Its business to them, and it hasnt made them money, so yea, what they did was PROVIDE A SERVICE, now paul PROVIDES THAT SAME SERVICE, play or dont’ but quit whining, it’s embarrassing.

yes really, et is dead because id stopped the master. Hate to have this bunch at a party.
So I’m an idiot for pointing out that this bunch of doom sayers made it sound like et was already dead… I just dont understand the European attitude sometimes, cant see the forest through the trees i guess.

It takes way to long before ID makes an announcement about what is going on.

Our clan is thinking about getting rid of four out of our five Enemy Territory servers because of this Master Server problem at the moment. I have even put in a support ticket to our server provider to find out if they will drop the game from there server rental list in the future?? I and many of my clan mates have played this game since it came out!! I still have hope that the Master Server will come back but like so many others have said it may never happen? But we are confident it will return, we have to be.

This is like the support we all may have encountered with Even Balance at one time or another… You make a complaint or a support ticket up and they take a long time to reply to your problem or help of any kind. We just have to wait and see what they come up with?

Our clan is currently trying different games and so on but we are primarily an ET clan so this transition will test our members that have loved this game and continue to love this game even now!

Guys keep up the hope for the Enemy Territory community and stop this pointless fighting between each other. Enemy Territory needs us now.

Some kind of post back from anyone that is in direct contact with this problem will put ALL this speculation aside. So please someone reply with some kind of news…

But diminishing server amount results in decreasing variety. Which servers will clans keep when reducing? Of course the most popular ones - so typical objective ETPro/Jaymod/NQ etc. For example after master server issue I don’t see any active sniper or HS server which were quite popular not a long ago.

I get it, thats why I proposed re compiling it and putting somewhere where it would be found, compile the new master location right into the setup file.
It was never about popularity with me, my clan needed a place to play without retarded admins making stupid rules, so before i get flames for running bots and keeping empty servers up, I do it for another reason, Because I CAN.

Not yet, check the hosts file after and make sure it still reads right. After that i dont know
