Universal Binary/MacTel ET?

One of the few remaining hitches in the get along of my buying the illnamed MacBookPro is an Intel native version of ET. Anybody know anything?
Thanks,

Why buy an intel mac if ur gonna game anyways, or is it just as cool extra? (mac+intel suxx anyways, stupid intel not including 64-bit instructions, wtill waiting for the Turion X2)

But ontopic. Not that I know. But since it seems possible tat you can run vista on an intel mac you could try to get some info about that. A dualboot with vista beta would be nice, then you can just run the windows version of the game native.

Apparently, Yonah (Core Duo) does do 64-bit but it is not currently enabled. It is interesting how all Mac talk on that topic ceased with the Intel announcement.
Building my own PC would be ideal, if gaming were my only priority. I guess I’m sort of a koolaid-drinking-Mac freak and since Macs are really Unix boxes, I’m finding my need for anything Microsoft diminishing, and prefer it that way. Nothing against Bill, you understand.

P.S. Thanks for the bump, Sauron; you posted while I was typing this message.

The only thing holding me back from buying a Mac is the fact you got less games popular on PC as well, and a slightly higher price tag.

I wouldn’t expect a new port.

I suspect that at some point in the future you will be able to run ET on intel/mac hardware either by booting a different OS, or through some kind of compatability library (as allows you to run linux ET under freebsd now)

Yeah, they are more expensive, and I might add that they have less everything as far as software is concerned. However, more Unix and X11 apps are available and once you realize that most things on the Mac are equal to or better than (author’s opinion) their PC counterparts the lack of a multitude of software choices doesn’t diminish the overall value of owning a Mac. There’s also the sexiness and the I-like-to-be-different-than-everyone-else BS, that is most addictive.
