now im realy not sure… tomorrow i will get my copy of brink… i just dont want to play ETQW just because of some stupid bugs in brink… i hope they will fix everything asap. about demo recording in brink… i dont know what to say…

after all that reviews, negative ones, connection issues … f** ! i just dont want to be disappointed tomorrow

Any ETQW players who can say how good Brink is? From ET/ETQW player standpoint? Still wondering if it’s good and underappreciated like QW with all the complaints and “ok but nothing more” reviews, or indeed a “console game”.

I’ve played it, far preceded my expectations. Yes, their is a lag issue, but ti should be fixed with the next patch. Movement feels the same (BRINK tells you that side-stepping and not moving you mouse is a good tactic) and the SMART system isn’t to intruding, but you notice it. The campaign is short (8 missons for each side, so 16 in total) but i found how much i’ve done of it so far enjoyable. As for online, it’s fun, like i said earlier, the lag is an issue sometimes, but overall it’s fun and good if you want a change in game. It uses the COD control style (G for grenades, V for melee etc.) but it didn’t take me long to get used to (and i HATE COD).

Brink has nothing in common with those games concerning gameplay. On paper yes, but in reality nope.

Seems like I don’t have to get Brink. At least I can keep up ignoring Steam for another while:), I was already worried.
Maybe a version with all DLC and stuff later.

Wen i installed Steam… strange things started to happens…

1 - Where’s all my underware?
2 - Why there is a guy buried on the garden?
3 - Who is Amilda?
4 - How can it be the wind if there is no wind?

…

Happily, when i installed Brink, all that strange things vanished :slight_smile:
