At least they gave us a surprisingly great game though. Maybe they will make a project out of it’s success and create an old school or somewhat old school style MP out of it. I doubt it but you never know.

Sadly that should tell you something about the commercial relevance of RTCW multiplayer. I’m thankful that Splash Damage is sticking to the formula while attempting to make it relevant again.
First time I tried ET I thought it was a bloody mess to be honest, but then I got hooked. Same with Dirty Bomb so far. I think they are doing a great job with the changes.

Yes and no. for most of it.
Assume play against someone of equal skill to you. They have a standing med device, and are corner camping at range and using proxy with shotty. They pop in and out with shotgun. Test it yourself and see who wins. Take away the healing station too, for objectivity. You may use an smg or rifle, no sniper rifle in this case. Tell me what you come up with!
Headshots change the rules. To use RTCW again, venom use was never considered in competitive play, not because it was OP but because this awesome gun was destroyed by laser fire to the head and you couldnt do headshots with it. It was great with support but it was rendered non competitive.

amusingly, my comment isnt a: why DB sucks.
ITs fun, I am commenting on the future as an FTP model and competitive play. Im sure the community + devs + whatever distributor its under, what is it Nexon now? I never pay attention to these things. - anyways, with a team effort and good communication we could put together a balanced competitive mod or ruleset.
