~ UNFILTERED FEEDBACK ~

  1. Can we do something about AR’s able to dominate snipers at long range since there is no punishment for going full auto and there is sure as hell no accuracy problems.

  2. Better side objectives.

  3. Even more daily quest, just cause there seems to be few of them.

  4. The in-game cash price to unlock new mercs is freakin high vs the rate you actually earn. It’s a bit on the side of “Hey you’ll never unlock something unless you pay us 6 to 10 dollars for a single character! which totally isn’t at all overpriced :D”

  5. More maps

  6. how about shotguns not being able to snipe across a map? Seen that shit. Twas shit.

  7. Ability to block people.

  8. Why am I connected to EU servers from Florida?

(alertRidge) #62

I didn’t know this post existed so I am posting my input here as well:

  • Hitboxes/performance

At the moment there are a lot of issues regarding hitting people. Sometimes when you are on point, it just doesn’t detect at all or it detects the wrong thing. There needs to be some kind of anti-lag and the hitboxes need to be sharpened. Playing on US servers as someone from the EU almost feels like an advantage. Keeping them seperate is an option, but you get put in US west servers as an EU player sometimes.

The same thing goes for objects such as the EV. A sniper was able to look trough the EV (bug), and shoot me in the head while I was repairing it.

  • Sniping

With the current hitboxes, hopping around without penalty, and the reduced sway it is just too easy. I am not blaming this in the class itself as I think the issue lies different. There needs to be a kind of system not allowing 5 people going sniper, there needs to be a penalty for bunny hopping (on every class), and the shooting is not smooth as of yet. Same goes for the fragger. One fragger isn’t a big deal, but when 3 of the 6 are fragger it get’s unbalanced really fast.

  • Reviving & gibbing

At the moment there is no real penalty on getting killed and revived. You are instantly back to the game. As the attacker is probably hurt at the point the defender gets revived, there is too little chance winning that.

But what if we give attackers with good aim a chance? Let’s say you have to shoot 3 or 4 headshots before the target dies from whatever weapon possible. If it detects the last hit (the killing blow) as a headshot, the target get’s gibbed instantly . Or at least change it that if the target dies, only 1 headshot is needed to gib the target.

I also think the gibbing range needs to be increased.

  • Changes in rewards / idea’s

At the moment there is no difference in rewards for doing good on games. The amount of credits gained in the double credits/xp weekend was fine.

More kind of cases with a different reward (perk cases / weapon cases / have a small chance getting a merc from a case perhaps ) etc.

  • Map changes

At the moment the last stage of Trainyard (where the train crashes) is really unstable. A lot of players get low FPS on this part of the map.

The first stage of Underground is very fun in my opinion, but the last stage is a campers dream. There needs to be an alternative way out of the defenders spawn to split it up a bit. This is an example:

http://imgur.com/wr3Fw6I

Invisible walls are also a problem for people that play Nader a lot. The MG at the first stage of Trainyard is blocking almost the whole opening. The last stage has some of those spots as well.

I have some more idea’s, but I close it with this for now.

I strongly agree with ‘Sagan on Roids’.

  1. We need more maps, and servers that have community maps would be a good start.
I’ve already written about a few other ideas of my own.

  2. I disagree with the idea that we should have more mercs in our squad, because that will disadvantage new players and lead to inevitable cries of ‘pay to win!’

A possible solution is to increase the number of free mercs to 4 and up our squad size to 4 as well.

  1. We really do need to fix the team balance issues. One of the ideas I had was to provide a gold and XP boost for staying on the same server for multiple games, so that whatever balance system the game has gets more time to work its magic.

The bonus gold and XP would also serve to make farming up the mercs easier.

  1. We need a way to open multiple chests at once. I’ve currently got 20 or so and I’m waiting for more mercs to arrive before I open them.

And why haven’t I opened them yet? Because I know what’s available and my current stuff suits me fine.

Having somewhere that you can view all of the weapons and abilities and compare them will go a long way towards making people spend their credits on boxes, in order to get the thing they really want, because they will know what is still available.

This is a problem because it implies that there just isn’t enough content that I want to have. So, we need more weapons, more skins, and more passive abilities. Or even active abilities, more things like ‘pineapple juggler’.

  1. I disagree that we should be able to pick up an objective by walking over it. It should take some time because it needs to be a conscious decision. Can you imaging the chaos that would be caused by picking up the Obj when you’re actually trying to rez someone, build a bridge, drop an airstrike etc.? I like the fact that it takes a second.

  2. But mainly we need more maps, and we need them fast.

I absolutely love this game I think it’s going to be huge. But you’re in danger of losing momentum if you don’t keep people hooked. A couple more maps, or even a few new modes, would go a long way.

If you’re concerned about balance with the maps that you’re holding back you already have tools to balance them on the fly.

I’m sure you’ve already figured this out, but on the off chance you haven’t: you can make a particular side on a map stronger or weaker simply by decreasing or increasing the spawn clock, or moving the spawn points closer or further away.

Either way, we need more maps, more game modes, more ‘stuff to do’

  1. I disagree that Field OPs should be nerfed. Sure, as Admiral Teddy said (waves a teddy paw), you can get airstriked over a wall and this can kill your whole team. But those shots are hard to pull off; they require significant skill. And you can still hear the rounds coming in and can run away.

  2. I also don’t think medics need to be nerfed. Sure, it’s true that there is no disadvantage for the rezed person.

But there is a disadvantage for the medic.

Think about it. It’s a 2v1 situation (although this analogy remains constant regardless of the math). 1 guy goes down and the medic has to decide whether to fight or revive. It’s a tactical decision that requires quick thinking and a careful weighing of the options.

And some of the best games have happened when the medics have been good and the fight has just gone on and on

The current system works fine as it is.

Also pro-tip: always revive, THEN fight. If you revive and then die your team still has a 1v1. If you die and then revive…oh wait, you can’t revive YOU’RE DEAD :open_mouth:

But if you revive and don’t die you’ve got yourself a 2v1.

Always revive then fight, unless you have a good reason not to.

Anyhoo, this game is awesome and it’s going to be great.

G-SYNC clashing with the forced v-sync of game menus.
This might not affect all that many players, since G-SYNC isn’t very common yet, but I imagine the fix for this, should be fairly easy for the devs to do.

(smartIsland) #65

I would like to highlight the previous person who said more secondary objectives. This adds a lot of fun and actually breaks up choke point holds because people are going to different areas. There are some already but def add some variety to the objectives themselves

8. Why am I connected to EU servers from Florida?[/quote]
Because I’m being placed in a cosy 200 ping US server from EU, taking your spot. :expressionless:

I’m really, really hoping we get the tools to create maps soon. Custom maps have always been a huge part of the content the community pushes out, and it definitely keeps things fresh. If you provide them with the tools to do so we’ll start getting more and more maps - you could even add them in if they’re really that good.

I always end up referencing TF2, but look at how well that game did in terms of maps via the community - even the ones that weren’t made official.

Thanks for the great responses all!

You better do all of my suggested changes because I am an amazing armchair quarterback game designer who has never said anything incorrect and I am not biased whatsoever. I also have great taste in Hawaiian shirts.

Here’s some feedback on the loadout card system I posted earlier today.

(LifeupOmega) #72

I’m having countless issues when throwing or shooting 'nades where a player will be standing by me, or just so happens to run close to me, and they’ll block the nade. Is this seriously intended? Seems a bit annoying that a teammate can ruin a potential pick just by virtue of being near me, maybe consider a small delay (less than a second we’re looking at) where players can’t block it unless FF is on.

Also, transparent viewmodel sliders would be a god send.

(MissMurder) #73

Yep thanks for keeping the thread alive  all helps.

(Rokkamaisteri) #74

Can we have option not being forcefully put to servers located in other regions than what we have chosen?
I keep getting thrown too often to US servers even when my connection doesn’t even allow that.

(avidCow) #75

Server browser cant be set to default to favourites list (correct me if im wrong)

I’m tried of clearing my notifications inbox. Yes, I got a crate. I know. After a night of gaming I must click/click/click/click/click if I want to remove notifications.

More crosshair styles needed. People love crosshairs.

Based on sniff’s excessive spending, the chance to get a cobalt loadout (12/160) for a merc I like (10/12), with a weapon I prefer (2/3) and perks that are not rubbish (maybe 8/10 ?) is about 6%.

For so many randomness, the price is just too high. Even if you would be happy with any cobalt, and could not get duplicates, the chance is probably 10 or 15% per crate. On average you could expect 1 cobalt per pack of 10.

For 35€, I would really like to take my exact pick - it’s only a skin after all.

I don’t think that the pricing is ethical. Maybe marketing found out that enough people are buying mercs for 10€, but half that would still be more expensive to get all mercs than a proper AAA game. Especially since additional revenue comes from cases and boosters.

Boosters, which are very low value again. I’m not even asking what happens after a 2x15 min stopwatch game where you disconnect in the last minute. I’m hoping for the best, but expecting the worst and even if it would just double the base-rate of credits when they are awarded, the credit-rate is exceptionally bad.

The all-loadouts-in-bronze is a good step and I really hope that people who already bought any merc’s bundle get the missing cards free. Again, I fear the worst, since I do not trust nexon anymore.

(Viquel) #77

Also, for the love of good, a quick game shouldn’t put me in a 350 ping game at all. I selected “any” in server browser at one time, but set it to <50ms ever since. The quick-join doesn’t respect that settign at all and I end up in very bad servers at least once a day. I’d rather have no game or select one manually.

Please provide an option to hide all those level 5 servers. I can’t play on them, no need to present them to me.

(srswizard) #78

For the love of machine gun Jesus, GIVE US HIGH LEVEL SERVERS.

Here’s a quick suggestion I posted earlier for the loadouts UI.
