At the begining of 2nd round Ciakgb wrote that abilities can be reselected, but once you play a turn with them, that’s what you use for whole final. Someone broke that rule?

I thought you had arty / block / crate based on what Jerry said in his game. So I just wasted my UVA… since I didn’t think you had lightning…

yes, we had the chance to rechoose the abilties for the 2nd round, but have to keep these newly picked abilities for all games in the 2nd round

Sorry for any misunderstanding. I used arty/crate/block. I think that my play by play description style can be rapid, confused, and difficult to follow exactly who did what.
FYI, In my forfeited matches, I think I was losing across the board.
Tinker (Suburbs) was easily beating me in one match and we hadn’t gotten far enough in the second to make a call but my gut says that I had no key to his squad and therefore no chance.
Armedmanus (Centro) was doing good as well. One game was clearly going his way and the other was a little tighter (I killed his capt) but I cannot even come close to saying I was winning. History says he would have won.
Mitsid (Lapa) (there’s nothing wrong with it but, I hate Lapa, especially when the opponent has Lightning (I hate Lightning)). Based on past play, I expected Mitsid to have Lightning. He was chewing me up both games. One was a little closer (I was about to drop his medic) but once again, I cannot even come close to saying I was winning. History says he would have won.

What is “Lightning” this is the second time it’s been referred to (in this thread). Is it a captains ability? or is it a nick name for a weapon like the electri-fryer?

It is a Captain’s ability. I used to prefer “O-Strike”, but the name “lightning” is growing on me.
What a nickname for “teleport”? That looks like lightning too.

So I had this weird feeling on my family outing today that you guys were in crisis, I’m glad you all worked it out amongst yourselves:) Good gamer stuff!
So, lots of people would jump in with you guys, maybe if we hit some crazy tie breaker situation we can make another quad…seeing as were all sitting around waiting for them to advertise the cup (we had more participants in this tourney than they have signed up) we could play with some other options if you guys want.
I’m big on random squad–ton of issues, I know, but if there is one thing we’ve shown is they can all be worked out. BTW, Tink, get us some video even if its lousy! Someone posted some you tube stuff of a problem they were having, maybe they could help with the product they used.
The shot gun tourney is still open, I have 9 shot gun eligible troops (5 meagans helps) but maybe not everyone does. 14 seems too, well stale. 20? And maybe not a quad, but a quick swiss where we all start together?
All melee of course, All sniper, well thats normal:)
All female? All male vs. All female battle of the sexes?
Just Rio maps and characters–now thats a specialists tourney:)

One Only–Only one of each toon type allowed.

The first game is uploaded
I seem to have missed 2 times his+my turn, including his best turn (sorry) but ain’t that easy. never did before, yet no clue how to add audio or use the in-game audio.
do I have to add any “I do not own…” things?
will add 3-4 more games within the next 2 days, the upload just takes forever
