Hi !
I would like to set r_ignorehwgamma 1 but it seems no effect at all, even after vid_restart. I don’t know why my Ubuntu doesnt ignore the external gamma. My graphic card has all new drivers installed (from the repo). Its really important for me to keep r_ignorehwgamma at “1” because without it, characters isnt visible enough.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers McDonald
Ubuntu 9.10 and r_ignorehwgamma 1
I already did it , and nothing happens, The value is 1 but it doesnt change anything. My graphic looks the same as always. In conclusion I can’t see the difference beetwen /r_ignorehwgamma 1 or 0 on my linux.
r_ignorehwgamma 1 should be like this (my xfire profile) http://screenshot.xfire.com/screenshot/natural/21a754c79adf4cacfa5be6e1603c2dd3df92a83c.png
but is http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/2364/shot0000ks.jpg . Do u know now , what I am expecting ?
:DDDD , like I said , characters are more visible. Its really hard to aim, when you don’t see an enemy. Could you help me to get it working up?
Nah. This is what’s commonly known as the “gamma bug”. It can make the game look really bad, but players stand out more.

Nope its not about r_gamma , because it works well and its not about gamma bug (I cant make gamma bug on linux coz r_ignorehwgamma 1 is needed). Im still waiting for your replys, and I hope that someone here could help me with this.
Mhmm, the only thing or two i found is you could try to insert - seta r_ignorehwgamma “1” - into your config and then loadup the game.
Secondly i read something somewhere about Aero (Windows tho) but maybe you got a new KDE 4 system wich has this kinda feature too. Maybe shut that of ?
Both worth a try maybe ? Else i dunno (Entering r_ignorehwgamma in the search-field of this forum has 1,5 pages with some results.
Anyway, goodluck.
