Hiya!,
I find the system generated voice statements (e.g. “killing spree”, “dominating” etc.) annoying. Is there any way to turn them off? The other sound effects are fine and I’d prefer to retain them. I checked a CVAR list and could find nothing there that would seem to help.

what mod you running? etpub? jaymod? nq?
Hmmm…good question. Plenty noob here my guess is it’s jaymod. How would I know for sure?
Check mod in server info.

Destroy666 and Crytiqal thank you very much for your responses. I’ll test them and see which works. If I pull down the console do I need to type “seta” in front of the cg command?

If it’s in the CFG just write set (So it will be read on each map loading and applied all time), if through console or RCON use seta to have it saved for all time.

He wants to do it for himself, not server, or am I wrong? Otherwise he wouldn’t ask about mod :rolleyes:

Open console, and just type /cg_killspreesounds 0 or /cg_announcer 2
By default there’s no announcements enabled, that’s why I thought he was on a server and the config was done my someone else
