trouble with r_intensity and r_overbrightbits cvars

For some reason, these cvars don’t stick when I enter them manually in the console, which says “settings will change up restart” (so I give a vid_restart) or when I put it in my autoexec.cfg file
(seta r_…)

my overbrightbits is ALWAYS 1.000 for some reason. (i check the cvarlist)
and my intensity is also 1.

i can adjust the mapoverbrightbits fine though.

is there a reason for this? or is this a lost cause?

Try deleting the \etmain\profiles[i]yourname[/i]\etconfig.cfg file. If you play on modded servers (Shrub, ETPro), they’ll have their own etconfig.cfg files so you’ll need to delete them as well.

my mistake on the r_intensity, you can’t set it below 1

still can’t seem to get the r_overBrightBits to work though. it still always sets on 1.000000 (6 zeroes)

i tried putting r_overBrightBits 2.000000 but that didn’t do anything afater a vid_restart (and I still got the "your settings will be changed upon restart) message.
