Damn good first round with vader. Win for him grave mistake in the beginning left my kate hanging with too few HP to withstand the badly wounded and bloody Juan’s frantic survival shooting. @ 40 HP win. Tight and fun

Enjoying this group. Very good matches and had only played a few of you before this. Played vader just before with som weird test team and he kicked my ass badly. Now I see the test grp might not have been bad just met a god player who could punish me for my lack of experience with it

Chaospinhead:1-1 had my first loss to chaos in the tour. Really did a hustle on me before tour. Underestimated him badly and my cockiness cost me a match. Force to be reckoned with
Sirmudd 1-0 (playing an intense second fight @ round 14 no casualties on market) always cool and close fights. Have played 10+ games with this killer
Onecut: 1-0 ( playing second match on crap embankment onecuts commander have been cut to death and a poison Pete is lurking about. Dave is wounded but angry. Kate and her merry bunch awaits a hail of wrath soon)

Question: why some of you are moving their toons one step by one step? Is it a kind of mind game to annoy the opponent? It’s working haha

Wanted to add a bit extra
It’s when you take a step to see if you get within range of a throw. Or in my case I move it one and the perhaps decide to move another to see their options then if I am ok with that I undo back to after the first step and do it again

I see the “dancers” a lot too. I do it myself. Like Crozz said it’s basically to see at each square what you can attack. Sometimes when you want to be at maximum distance to attack and retreat you take one step, nope can’t attack yet, take another step, nope, another step, AH now I can attack, then shoot and run back. The only person I don’t do this with is Megan, because if Megan stops and runs, people know you just laid a mine, so I try to always be sneaky with mines. I either run up to an enemy and stab, then drop a mine and run or I deploy mines at the start or end of a turn and hope they will step on them later.
On that note I had a funny match this morning. I had laid 3 mines out on Train Station on the 1 square walkway to the middle. Dude walked over all 3 of them with hippie dave as he was retreating and took them back to his entire cluster which he had all 5 units sitting in a block. Now that…hurt lmao. I must have done 300+ damage from 1 mine. Sadly he was 3/4 dead so after the 1st mine exploded he died and the other 2 never got to get up and walk. Had he had full health I could have easily seen 600+ damage come out of that to the whole team.
I’d love to get together with a really active player and have some fun experiments. Like laying 3 mines and having the opponent walk over them and stand in the middle of a cluster of troops and see the max damage we could do, and other such experiments for fun and learning
Crozz - thanks for underestimating me lol. Our first (and only) match was a 26 point match where you had 5 healers (2 angie, 2 kate, gus and captain) I think. You slaughtered me. It’s a little harder to run such formations in 14 point match, plus I have been playing furiously learning and probably played another 30-40 matches before the tournament started. I’m a quick learner
Perrix - Sadly I left a bad impressin on Perrix and I hope he forgives. I watch my kids solo in the evenings while my wife works, they were annoying the heck out of me, I was on muscle relaxants for a painful thigh muscle (drowsy and dizzy) and tired and cranky. I ended up forfeiting the second match after the second move because I had already lost to the 5th kate/juan formation of the tournament. Wish I could go back and do that again. Maybe next time. 0-2 against him.
Onecut - I definitely underestimated you. After winning our first match I went and tried Melee (basically my first attempt at it), and it was a huge failure lol. I also tried it against Vader which proved to be a mistake
Vader - You won the first match, and I really wanted to win the second one, but due to my own excitement of cutting your healer in half with my sword, I totally didn’t realize the stupid occupation meter was on it’s last bar and submitted my turn. I lost because of that, and I was literally…1 square away from the occupation zone and a possible victory next round! That was a nut buster. Good games though!

SirMudd - we went 1 and 1. I accidentally started both matches but since he won the second one he was ok with it lol.
N30k - He was supposed to start the first match but hadn’t so I did. He has responded and started playing but I don’t think he’s using the forums and may not even know its a tournament match. If he doesn’t initiate the second match after finishing the first one, I will have to start it and just hope it counts.

I like the run down that Crozzton did so here it goes.

I think I’m a tough match up for you with my style of play. Keep your guys next to cover and I won’t be able to kill them in one turn. Also, you got screwed in our last match with Pete during the replay. The camera will always show the movement of your men even if they’re invisible. Pete was so far from your other guys that the camera showed his movement. At first I though it was a glitch but then I remembered that Pete was invisible. So I poisoned him and then he was marked for death.

We ended both of our matches with a hold. It was a tough fight the whole way and that last victory was great. I laughed so hard when you told me that you were happy that you just killed my medic with your sword. Only to submit and lose to my hold when you were one square away from the center.

And I grouped my guys together at the start of that match because I miss read your men. I didn’t think that was Kate and then you through that poison at me and I was like ****!! I bough another Kate just to **** with you in our next game (if we meet). I’m gonna gas you twice and run away…haha
