I hope you heard , that Duke Nukem is “wound” and need help.
Please save / “revive” the Duke and please try to ask your friends at id software / Raven / activision maybe someone have an idea how to help.
Lets work together, if you looking at the now gone Artist at 3D Realms, you will see very good artwork.
This game is finished in 1 year… Dont be so money avaricious, its obvious that if 3d Realms realease their game, they will be good feed from players around the world.
Carmack share your money and feed them 1 year, bring the game to release and then force them to work 1-2 years for you!
To the Splash staff members
Bobby so silly.
Everybody knows that one of Carmack’s beasts ate the 3dRealms owner over a nice pile of fluffy rice pilaf and the only copy of DNF was in his pocket !
Bethesda would probably issue a comment on the issue but they think BobbyVader should have his father Darth use his dark powers to gather the space-money needed to restart the project.
goooOOOoooo space-moneeeyyyyYYYYY!
personaly i think that the owner of 3D Realms isn´t talented for the position.
If they announce thier failure so late and dont use the power of the internet news / blogging etc. to use the situation for them.
[I would announce my error public and early enough]
I mean , if I know that I only have money for the next 3 months, then I think about the sitution (for me and for my friends).
And then i have ideas like : Lets make a Donation page for the duke.
Second idea: Ask the community to buy duke now for 25,00 Buks and recieve a copy directly from the company at its realease. But then you can buy it only in june 2009.
3 idea: Selling beta keys on ebay.
4: Make it as it makes EA Games. Milling one title 10 times. Release the first part now (3 maps) for lets say 10 buks…
and tons of others…
Now he is bonded due to the current situation.
no1 should just donate them money to finish the game. f*** donations. f*** them! their whoriness to inability to finish it (i herd that they deliberately did so), they deserve what they got.
instead, one should hit a deal with them for finishing the game (but in this case they are who need to pay which they are unable). or simply buy the rights to do so, and finish it. then ask for a low percentage from the revenues, as they could keep the publishing rights and the ip of “duke nukem forever”. or, if some body is hardcore fan enough (+have a lot $$$), could buy the whole franchise. either option, it cant be that hard/expensive, as they have not much choice and room to manoeuvre left…
any way, if this happens, i only hope that the one who will eventually finish the game, will do it from the already existing/done assets, changing nothing in conception/etc, and doing exactly what the original developers would have done. and not start from scratch, or change it.
according to latest news, they are trying to sell the franchise to companies like:
Microsoft en Electronic Arts, and studio’s like id Software and Epic Games.
They supossedly already denied an offer of 30 million dollars.
So maybe a game is still to come?

[/QUOTE]lol only now noticed this. no way!! how can a gamer ask for this… this is a terrible practice. but not surprising from ea… (its the ms of games xd)
to the future devs of this game who will never see this anyway- release it in 1 big but well-made pack, which contains everything. this is a low risk game, no matter how much money you are asking for it, millions will buy it. dont abuse this fact to make cheaply a crap, and make a nice game pls. (lol @ myself). oh and see my last post - dont change!!! finish it 100% exactly as it would have been originally finished by the original devs.
they should just release all assets in one big free pack, let the community at large finish it and give the best result a “Giant Golden AttaBoy”
