To the ET Team, My 2 Cents about ET

Hey All, and ET Team:

First off, I’d like to say WAY TO GO. ET is so much better than WolfTactics, and it is on the same level as the original level as RTCW, and I believe it could be made better very easily. Here is my 2 cents on how to improve RTCW ET:

Sniper Rifle:

It is too weak. What happened to the 1 or 2 shot kill Mauser? It’s a real pain to have to shoot your victim 3 or 4 times before he dies. Also, make the scope be able to zoom in. I know some people don’t like it, so maybe you could make this a server level adjustment. :slight_smile:

Bring Back the Venom:

Please, please bring back the Venom. When you know how to use it, it makes the game 10x better, and a great addition to ET!

Quick Chat:

You might out to consider putting the quick chat menu back to the way it was, and make new sayings a entirely new option.

Promotions and the like:

This is a great idea, but need to be tweaked a bit. If you could, have a record on one’s own computer, of how many frags, gibs, revives, etc. etc., and make this info available to other players. :slight_smile:

Dropping & Picking up Weapons:

What happened to this feature? I wish you could put it back into the game. :slight_smile:

Colored Names:

In RTCW my complete name is:

^8[ATI]DAS_B^1I^3S^8M^1A^3R^8K

and it appears like:

[ATI]DAS_BISMARK

No problem!

Although, when I try this in ET I get this:

[ATI]DAS_BISMA

See the problem? Hopefully you might be able to fix it. :slight_smile:

/Playdead

I know that /playdead was built into SHRUB, but it made the game so much better, maybe you could bring something of the sort into ET?

Overall a good post and i tottaly agree with you on the wolf tactics part. As for the voice chats one of the Splash Damage team has mentioned they will be more like rtcw layout in final release.

I like the /playdead as well :slight_smile:

They should also put the push (damn door blockers) and drag (useful for meds) from shrub in as well.

Thank you for your kind words. Might you know of a email address that I could send these to, so I can make sure that the programmers, editors, etc. see them? Also, a bigger chat window would be nice. Nothing like a good conversation over a game of RTCW at 3 in the morning. :slight_smile:
