TLR Mapping Contest - 150€ Cashprize

(.Chris.) #21

I’ve heard they have received 3 entries already, including Firefly’s, I assume eim is still entering and I am so that’s at least 5.

Seanza was thinking of keeping map authors anonymous to avoid favoritism but not sure how he would enforce that.

(eiM) #22

I know of 4 participants until now, probably some send in last minute as myself

(Infinitypl123) #23

Can anyone post some screens of those maps?

(murka) #24

You really don’t want it while the competition is still going.

Specially that maps often contain prefix like MLB_Daybreak / MLB_Hotchkiss etc

Guys we are not fighting for prize, we fight to keep ET alive.
With this contest ET community will get 4-5-or more new maps  We are all winners.

(.Chris.) #26

That sounds like loser talk. (just kidding)

(FireFly) #27

After may 1st we are allowed to release our maps to the public,
So I’m sure there will be some screenshots and maps available within the next few days

(shagileo) #28

Awesome !
Looking forward to that

(Etnies) #29

Get releasing those alphas

(varsovie) #30

Last ring.
2 hours construction time remaining before deadline.
Hurry up guys.

Now is : Sunday, 1 May 18:23:00(GMT + 0:00)

(.Chris.) #31

Was bit of a rush but I managed to get something submitted. I’ve used quite a bit of other people’s assets, models and sky boxes and such. I didn’t get the time to make a readme file so I just want to state I’m not trying to pass everything off as my own, full credits will be made in due course.

Good luck everyone!

(Infinitypl123) #32

When we will see the list of submitted maps?

(Seanza) #33

Hey everyone, thanks to those who submitted the maps. I’ve received 5 entries and will be arranging them on a public server with a rotation and also announcing some small tournaments to gain feedback for all your efforts.

If anybody has had an issue with emailing me (as I’ve been told some are), then PM your entry on here if you haven’t already done so via the Crossfire forums.

Be sure to provide the IP for the server when we’re allowed to join in. I’m very curious about the work these guys made

Just took a look at the maps, it’s pretty obvious which maps belong to which mappers  The styles are recognizable.

They look pretty nice, the main Contenders looked like Tounine and Pirates.
I think Tounine will score best on gameplay, had some interesting things. Pirates just looks… (Well let’s just say I needed a fresh pair of pants after seeing it :D) Not sure on the gameplay there since I was too busy enjoying all the eyecandy

EDIT: @ Genert: Firefly

Pirates and Tounine. They looked best for team-playing.
