Lock on with Proxy might be too strong. One barely gets away from Proxy mines, you have to super jump and you still get damaged significantly. Lock on will just destroy you, no way to get out. I’d rather not have that.
I’d like Stoker to have Explodydendron.
The one true counter to explosiv moines are your ears. Try to use em, Lock on would just punish you alot more.
I don’t get what you’re trying to accomplish with such a comment. This guy is actually seriously thinking about the fact that mines would be too strong with Lock On and unavoidable, and all you have to do is acting like he’s crying? Turn your head on next time, thanks.
Mines will be even more of a pain in the ass if they get Lock On and I will play Rhino exclusively since noone without Untrackable will be able to get out of the cylinder AoE explosion. You have to longjump out of a mine with almost all mercs now. And you survive only if you done it in a extremely short amount of time. Otherwise you’re dead. Lock On will make it ridiculous and it will be an instakill you don’t usually spot because the beeping easily gets overridden by gunfire.
What do you expect…just wants lock on for even easier pub scrub kills!

That’s what everyone often doing and that’s what I did when I occasionally had to play her. And I hated it.
“Fletcher has to aim, proxy does not” hello delusions
You unironically and seriously want to say Fletcher does not need to aim sticky bombs to stick them to enemies while Proxy has to aim explosives with maybe 3-4 times the AoE and 1.8x the damage she does not need to stick to someone but drop on the ground in the general direction where enemies come from?
@buffMonorail So we assume I believe you Proxy and is the uber mega hard-to-play-mega-strategic-merc-ever and Fletcher is easy to play, cheap and non-skillful. Why do we see so many newbs playing Proxy but no Fletcher? Isn’t it usually the case that newbs stick to easy mercs?
“B-Bait S-Son!”
what happens when you misplaced your mine? somebody shot it and you die.
when was the last time fletcher misplaced his balls and die horribly in one shot?
proxy run to enemies, some guy with rifle can easily headshot her.
fletcher run to enemies, he obliterates them with his balls after he survived burst fire.
playing proxies is waaay harder than you think if youre playing with people in your own league. noobs pick it up because she is a better engineer because she has speed and shotgat which is both noob friendly.
numerous times i have shot a proxy charging at me and she drop dead as soon i burst to her head but, when a smart guy plays it he dont charge at me instead, he bait me into his trap just around the corner.
when fletcher goes into a corner, he gets a free pass, people stop following him in fear of his balls do 100 damage to the face.
I played Proxy. And surprisingly both games granted me a Godlike. Something I don’t play for and have gotten only a few times.

I’ve only ever gotten godlike with Fragger and Bushwacker. Never with Proxy or any other merc for that matter.

Yeah, I really have no idea…
@buffMonorail just, stop… Proxy has a low skill cap, live with it, and as for Fletcher suicides, They do happen in the middle of a gunfight, maybe if you played him more you’d probably be aware. Stoker has an average skillcap, as the Molotov can be surprisingly difficult to use, and is actually kinda bad against objectives, and often difficult to get kills with. I main Stoker, and I have found that the Molotov only delays the delivery of objectives unless you have impeccable timing, but can be more effective than the mines, as they will usually only kill one or no people, therefore not protecting the objective well. I know Stoker, he was my first purchase.
