I’m kind of getting fed up with this little war that is overrunning the forums, so this is a thread to discuss what we hope will come in future updates and events. Please respect this and don’t bring up the current Proxy/Stoker thing.
Enjoy!
This is a thread that WILL NOT include any team bias to do with the event!
Yeah I’m hoping for some more balanced cards overall and some proxy cards to combat cards with untrackable would be nice
Lock on with Proxy might be too strong. One barely gets away from Proxy mines, you have to super jump and you still get damaged significantly. Lock on will just destroy you, no way to get out. I’d rather not have that.
I’d like Stoker to have Explodydendron.
Do you think they’ll remove Fraggers B52 card cause I love that card atm?

The one true counter to explosiv moines are your ears. Try to use em, Lock on would just punish you alot more.

I know, but its still quite hard to pick up the sounds, at least for me
Bigger Blast is weapon orientated, so only Naders Lactic will be affected. Explodydendron is for abilities so like Sky’s airstrike and Fraggers Grenade. So I guess Stoker will have Explodydendron
If you have that card, you will still keep it. However you cannot trade in and get the B52 in Silver, Gold or Cobalt. You can still buy the 1st gen cards through the loadouts section in store, but only bronze.
The Devs have confirmed that all cards wont be removed. The balanced ones will stay. They intend to do this to remove useless loadouts.
@ElDingDong yeah I know that but I want it in a nice shiny cobalt not in bronze as I do currently so I want that card to be in 2nd gen. cards so I can trade up for it
No cards are being removed. They’ll be available at the store. They confirmed this on stream and in a few forum posts. Chances are we’ll get better cards anyway than what we have, I find all of Fragger’s BR cards to be lacking horribly augment-wise.
Do you think they’d allow us to just swap a 1st gen card for a random 2nd gen without trading up or it?
IIRC they said they fudged it and that they could not change the 1st gens because paying customers would be upset and something else, what if the players could choose a loadout in their inventory to be turned int 2nd gen?
I got stuck with a crappy event card for Sparks as my only drop and it would suck if it just collected dust in my barracks.

I don’t get what you’re trying to accomplish with such a comment. This guy is actually seriously thinking about the fact that mines would be too strong with Lock On and unavoidable, and all you have to do is acting like he’s crying? Turn your head on next time, thanks.
Mines will be even more of a pain in the ass if they get Lock On and I will play Rhino exclusively since noone without Untrackable will be able to get out of the cylinder AoE explosion. You have to longjump out of a mine with almost all mercs now. And you survive only if you done it in a extremely short amount of time. Otherwise you’re dead. Lock On will make it ridiculous and it will be an instakill you don’t usually spot because the beeping easily gets overridden by gunfire.
Hell, the beeping sometimes doesn’t even play due to how overlapping sound sometimes fucks up in DB.

I just told him how to counter explosiv moines and that’s it. He didn’t get offended, I didn’t offended, no one got offended except for you. And yes, Lock On would buff mines to inta kill unless you’re a rhino or have untrackable. As for the shooty shooty bang bang around you then might I suggest taking the long way around a corner? and maybe not tunnel vision on the first enemy you see? Chances are they’re looking at something else or shooting your buddies. Those are a few of many ways to counter an explosiv moines.
Which still makes no sense.
I would agree on the corner thing if all corners in Db would be large enough for you to see what’s behind and being able to shoot the mines. I could name atleast 2-3 places on every map at important passages where you simply can’t get an angle to shoot a mine without triggering it.

You got to give credit where credit is due. That Proxy successfully did something important: Area Denial.
I do agree that there are some ridiculous places for mines, where they seem unavoidable, but there’s a quite simple solution for that: you have to run around the given corner a bit, and right when you reach the trigger radius, you just run back. Mine is cleared, and you lost exactly zero health. Ofc this is not so easy when enemies are patrolling around, but you can’t deal with all problems at once.
And when mines are on top of staircases you just simply shoot while jumping. This can take a while since jumping screws up the spread, but at least you won’t explode into pieces.
So yeah… there are ways around even those mines if you are smart enough.

The only place I’ve found this not to work is ones at the top of most inclines. No matter what you do you’ll be taking damage if you go head on.

No. Because every action should have a reaction. If you can’t react to it, it’s unbalanced. I don’t care if I failed to see a mine and run over it because it’s my fault, but I get goddamn pissed if I know there’s a mine around the corner and I can’t do anything against it.
