i dont really like what they have done to Dome and javelin ammo nerf.

its hard to resupply teammates if you need to stay in the circle for an amount of time before it starts resupplying

i mean if they want to reduce the amount of magazine per supply dont nerf the time to resupply too.

and the javelin itself is pretty poopy since she cant even supply herself

I’m sorry it is slightly harder to rekt people with potato aimed rockets.

On the upside you can still majorly contribute with Aura, Proxy, Rhino, etc.

However DB has always been a relatively aim dependent game and if that’s really not what you’re looking for there’s plenty of other stuff in the steam store.

This is nothing like cs. And this game is not any less or more about killing vs objectives than it used to be. You have to kill enemies to win objectives. People just got better at shooting.

You describe like every merc is overpowered and can instagib or something and makes Dirty Bomb kill-based rather than objective-based. Well if you didn’t know Fletcher’s bomb radius got nerfed, sniper rifle’s instagib headshot got nerfed so you couldn’t do it, as well as Javlin’s instagib.

Besides that, this game is all about aim. It’s been like this since alpha stages being a hitfire based shooter with a long ttk compared to other games and headshots do way more damage than bodyshots.

What’s with these Paladins and OW comparisons? Reason why I play DB, is because it’s unlike those games. I don’t see ultimates and rock paper-scissors class balance appearing in DB the slightest.

hey, I would be more than fine if Javelin disappeared AS WELL as snipers. The only reason I’m happy she was added, was that it was leaving me a chance.

I was a lot more excited about Turtle btw. THAT was my kind of merc. Sadly it appeared to be the most pointless merc. Useless shield that is down in 3 seconds (a healing station is still a much better “shield”), and the guy has zero ammo, thus can’t even use his own shield. They gave ammo-generating abilities to the wrong merc…

In pub games, players are free to just go for kills if they like.

yeah, and that changes the game

Most of the players that played execution, at least in my region, aren’t going to come in and destroy everyone in Obj/SW games.

so what did they do, they moved to another game?

And yeah, I’m glad Fletcher got nerved. Even though I believe he’s still overpowered, I see much less of these now, that’s a relief.

It wasn’t the same game for me. In Chapel, we were usually 2 or 3 to try to repair the EV. Now I’m generally alone, while the whole team is busy fragging up the stairs & just that. At one point I say fuck it (because I’m tired of being raped as soon as I approach the unprotected EV), I start fragging along with them, and the EV doesn’t move for the rest of the match. More & more are just there for the frags.

Sometimes you play against one of those spawnraping teams, someone manages to ninja-plant and the other team simply loses because they had zero eng/medics. But they don’t even care, they weren’t there to win the match, only frag.

sniper instagib? wtf is that?

Instagib is when someone drops dead into a finished state without even going down first from being alive. Sniper rifles used to be able to do that with headshots at full health.

Yea nah you’re not alone on that thought. There aren’t any of those Chapel MG Jump / Terminal Balcony Jump kind of jumps on any of the new maps. The closest thing to a “trick jump” I can think of on the new maps is that broken wall part on Dockyard that connects the generator room and the MG room, where the EV turns left after the bridge.

Exactly. There’s also an excess of invisible walls that just seem to block you from getting to simple spots like on 1st Obj of Vault, you can’t get on top of the objective itself due to invisible walls blocking you. There’s tons of more spots similar to it. It makes the game feel really clunky and weird as well as dulling down the gameplay. I hate how they ruined Dome. It used to have so many awesome jumps and shit. Sure, it needed some work, but nothing like what they did.

Makes me sad. :’(

So you went from a complete noob team with multiples people repairing the EV to playing the game properly. If all but one is focusing on killing the enemy, then you can repair the ev in peace, as opposed to 3 of you repair stacking and all getting wiped out by a single arty strike. It seems like this whole ‘game has changed’ is just you not playing against nubs anymore.

i think the 1v1 gunplay is still the same for me since ive played in the first contaiment war
you can still crouch juke, wall bounce, side strafing etc

i think multiple players shooting at 1 player is what makes people think TTK is very low

I also experienced many times some high level proxy claiming our team to be noobs because he couldn’t let go of W and rushed all the way. If the enemy team is killed, its an easy repair :smiley:
