This game died quick.

Yeah I think you’re friends with me on XBL. So if you see me just pop in.

(peteXnasty) #42

I try to keep my friends list full of you know…friends…not ransoms from the internet  not a fan of that system.

(Smokeskin) #43

You call playing with a controller “virtually the same gaming experience”? Consoles are great for racing and fighting games, but for FPS games consoles are pretty meh.

(asmo) #44

BC2 doesnt require steam.

thanks god.

BFBC2 is best game on earth at the moment for me.

(wolfnemesis75) #45

Not dying. Brink has just come out!

(Kurnuttaja) #46

6300 players on steam, not bad when all the technical issues are still present. Hell, I can still play MNC and it does not even show in the Steam charts.
PC community is still alive and well.

(A.i) #47

I can always find few full servers with ping under 70 in Westcoast

(playa) #48

More poor people trying to say how an xbox is just as good as a PC.
New member here and wow people are acting very rude and immature…but besides that. Ive been searching the web for awhile now trying to find similar topics to my problems with brink and this seems closest.
I bought brink for xbox 360 im loving the gameplay and everything…my biggest gripe is everytime i try to join online matches, i have only ever got into a 3-4 human match with the rest bots…im sick and tired of versing useless bots…and when i do get into a decent match with humans its usually a 6 vs 2 game which just makes me want to ragequit with no sense of auto balancing…i live in canada with shaw cable extreme internet service…theres no excuse for me to be getting put into these matches unless literally no one actually plays this game for real…but thats my two cents. Love the game…would like to play with full human matches though.

Edit: oh and before a reply. Forgot to mention…yes ive tried old skool mode and many other online mode combinations to no avail…either i get put in a room by myself or 2-3 others and thats it, rarely. And most often its utterly unbalanced when u think u got into a good match.
I kinda notice people acting like douches to peoples opinion who don’t like the game or quickly saying it’s because “you’re playing on console”, you’d think this game is a family member to them, jeez, lol. I feel sorry for newer people.

I agree too though I have pretty fast cable network and experience some lag which is already well known, so i took a minor break and I’m playing L.A. Noire until things are a bit better, I def won’t shoot people down though if they think this game is weak or not garnering attention.

(Nefarious) #50

lol its not my connection. Its this retarded game. Like I said other games of my dont lag/chug and I get full room of human players everytime with other games like BFBC2 or BlackOps. If any problem I run into is I get in a room in BFBC2 and its not FULL but still has alot of players in it.

This game looked polished and up to date in preview vids and now that its out it looks dated. Fact.

Anyone recall thouse Container City vids where when the gate blows up a huge dust cloud and debris fly everywhere…now we just have a poof! Get real. if you feel the need to to defend this crap then you are stupid.

A pure MultiPlayer based game with only one game type and only 8 levels feels like a DLC Arcade Game for 1200 MS points.

I dont see a future for this game. Its not like sales are going to pick up once word gets out of Free DLC. Its dead. You ppl are playing with a corpse at best here.

(Nail) #51

trade it in, I hate paying retail

(Swimmy) #52

LOL at all the butt hurt fan boys trying to defend this game. The OP made valid points. But now hes a troll cause he isn’t on his knees stroking this broken game. The reviews didn’t ruin this game. So stop saying that. Its fanboy denial 101. The game failed for all the reason mentioned in the OP and then some. The game flat out sucked which is why it was given bad review across the board. Generally, if a game sucks it will get bad reviews. There isn’t some conspiracy against brink where all the critics decided to give it a bad ratings just cause.

(A.i) #53

Crysis2 got good reviews - but look at it now… I don’t care how many ppl are still playing so long as I can find few full servers with ping <70

(DarkangelUK) #54

I think both were rated on their SP merits mainly, and Crysis 2’s SP was stronger than Brinks.

(Swimmy) #55

What about it? Its a good game. I own it. But haven’t played it in a awhile.

It has a lot of content. Its a lot better than brink. If any knock its similar to COD in some aspects but a little bit smarter of a game.

Agreed it is going to have to be the worlds greatest DLC just to keep people playing who already have the game(well those who wished Sd/Bethesda wore a little lube when they were hammering away)

(Swimmy) #57

No. Games don’t get rated base solely on there SP experience. Unless its solely a SP experience. Brink is purely a MP experience but couldn’t even do that right. Which is pretty sad. A MP experience is a lot easier to create than a unique SP experience. Crysis did both well and probably has the best graphics of any game to date on the Xbox.

(DarkangelUK) #58

I never said solely, I said mainly. Brink was marketed as an SP game where friends could jump in to play coop or decide to go against humans, which was the mistake, therefore it was treated and reviewed mainly as SP that had MP elements, when really it’s the other way round.

(Gamer2Gamers) #59

Yeah, definitely was a mistake it gives it a very repetitive nature that people can easily get bored of, but I’m sure people will say otherwise who have different taste, but they should of expanded on it the only thing that is different are the challenge maps - I wouldn’t mind a multiplayer experience separate from the single player campaign.

(Shotgun Surgeon) #60

I agree with Swimmy. This is a fun game and all, but I think the rest of you are making it out to be greater than it really is. After playing the hell out of Brink, I can safely say that the game gets old pretty fast. Even without the lag, there’s just something missing. To me, it doesn’t have the same addiction as a game like Battlefield or CS.
