This game died quick.

Gameplay is repetitive as hell with 8 levels and no other game modes other then ‘Objective’. Consisdering that there is no Single Player or real story line to this game and is pretty much purely and MultiPlayer Game its a shock of how there are no player Options for other game modes.

Brink lags more then anyother game I have ever played on 360. I just dont understand why.

There are hardly any players on this game. Once in awhile I get full teams. And thats only if I use my Lv20 guy and pick Same Rank in the search fuction and find other dedicated players. Its seems anyother combo in hopes to get full matches is a crap shoot. In this day and age of gaming we shouldint have to ‘Hope’ to get connected to other players. If I have a level 5 guy and pick same rank and no other Lv 5s are out there in the world…well thats just a sad problem.

Hell even when I pick my rank or higher with a Lv1 I got put in a match where it was 1v1 and the rest are bots. No one else new is playing this game…anywhere?

And I know its empty out their when I see the same names of players and recognize them. Yeah its fun and cool like “its that guy again…I know his style” but it just shows how no one is playing this game like other titles out there.

And for a game that is thinking out of the box from all the other games out there like COD and Halo doesint mean **** if it doesint run smooth and no one is playing it.

Online Bot matches…what a waste!

Go on Gears 2, Black Ops, Halo Reach. Games that have been out for awhile and are old news but are still bumping with players. Brink is supposed to be fresh and new but these old games hold up WAY better then it does. And its a shame because there is so much potential…if only it didint constantly lag and chug online and us players were not succumbed to online matches where Online Bots out numbers actual human players.

Looking back on Brink vids and Dev documentaries made this game seem pretty awesome. Now that the real product is out it feels so out dated and doesint hold the hype at all in anyway what so ever.

Bought the game for 60$ and can only trade it in for 25$.

700 servers online, tons with maximum population, as of like 1 hour ago.

Smoke more crack maybe.

(SkaP) #3

The problem is your playing on the 360.

(Thatgingerkid) #4

Then go get your $25 and stop playing. As Pinion said many servers online for the PC and personally I still greatly enjoy playing the game.
And try to tell me Gears 2 wasn’t laggy at release. Cause I seem to remember a lot of lag.
8 maps? How many do most new FPS games have? About 12?
Also you make it sound like 20 people are playing this game. I think you may have connection issues.

xbox gamers are all cool and out in clubs, xbox gamers are the revolution that made the ps1 and gaming cool to have

PS3 was £600 for a toy console and wasnt worth it

(Ainokeato) #6

LOL So when you buy Gears of War 3 and start bitching about how laggy it is the first month of its launch, I’ll be standing ready to slap you with a piece of wood.

I play with a different group of dudes every day. I have no idea what you’re even talking about.

(Technician840) #8

You guys are missing his most important point.

“Online Bot matches…what a waste!”

Cry to yourself and cut deeper, nobody cares

(Jak Swift) #10

I play xbox360, all is well lol

(DeadEye) #11

Yea. I play on 360, and do scrims/matches on a daily basis. Not only can I find lagless pubs easily, but I play privates a ton and can’t complain about much that really breaks the game.

Enemy Territory games, which Brink is a direct successor of, get better with experienced/inventive players. Once players know their tools and maps well, it’s much more fun. Maybe that’s the problem - Xbox players being less insightful. I wouldn’t be surprised.

If you wanted to know a bit about Splash Damage/Enemy Territory games, they started with Quake 3 Fortress mod which was inspired by Quake 1 Team Fortress. So all accusations of huge similarity to TF2 are at the same time accurate and pointless. TF2 hasn’t invented Team Fortress formula. TF2 still bears similarities to Quake1 if you take a look at weapons.

BREAKING NEWS!

MP FPS are repetitive. It’s official now!

OP clearly didnt read the sticky.Otherwise he wouldn’t cry so much now.
He also didnt read that we get free new maps with free DLC.

(Jak Swift) #14

Haha, how arrogant, i play pc and xbox, how you going to make a bold statement like that? If i got anymore insightful my face would melt and i’d od.

How has this got anything to do with the quote you’re commenting on?

His point is a sad one for players like me. I traded in BLOPS and a controller to get the credit to buy Brink and I don’t make nearly enough money to buy a gaming PC with rent and bills. I want to love this game but it seems I find less and less PS3 players daily if I can even find ONE in a match. Maybe my characters are too high a rank? Who knows. Me and my 5 friends who like this game are stuck fighting each other and bots and its bumming me out that the one game I waited for to rule hard is going to lose its small comunity on console because the launch was THAT bad. I wish I could get it on PC but its no option.

I hate selling games so im hoping by sticking with it, the commnity will grow…but I haw a feeling no one on PS3 will have stuck around by next month.

(hiono) #17

it might be your connection cause for the last day ive been having a hard time finding games but my friends have been getting in fine, and as much as i enjoy this game i might have to sell it if the problems continue for me after the patch

(Smokeskin) #18

My games are getting better and better. It is clearly getting more frequent that both teams know what they’re doing and work as a team. And when that happens, damn this game is awesome.

Brink is getting better, not dying.

(GrieverXVII) #19

New member here and wow people are acting very rude and immature…but besides that. Ive been searching the web for awhile now trying to find similar topics to my problems with brink and this seems closest.
I bought brink for xbox 360 im loving the gameplay and everything…my biggest gripe is everytime i try to join online matches, i have only ever got into a 3-4 human match with the rest bots…im sick and tired of versing useless bots…and when i do get into a decent match with humans its usually a 6 vs 2 game which just makes me want to ragequit with no sense of auto balancing…i live in canada with shaw cable extreme internet service…theres no excuse for me to be getting put into these matches unless literally no one actually plays this game for real…but thats my two cents. Love the game…would like to play with full human matches though.

Edit: oh and before a reply. Forgot to mention…yes ive tried old skool mode and many other online mode combinations to no avail…either i get put in a room by myself or 2-3 others and thats it, rarely. And most often its utterly unbalanced when u think u got into a good match.

(DazTroyer) #20

Try the free play Competitive mode, 5 vs 5 and no bots. They can start off with only 3 or 4 players but fill up quick and they don’t lag often (were a mare last night after 11pm though)
