This event is the dumbest shit ever.

100+ cases and still not a single event loadout. Wtf is the point? I spent all my credits, I’ve played considerably over the last few days and nothing. Absolutely nothing. You guys really know how to take incentive from people. This RNG crap is bullshit.

(Terminal_6) #2

The point is (I’m guessing) to drain your credits for the Javelin/Casual Match Making event, which will likely encourage you to spend real money. The game’s free-to-play though, so that’s sort of how these things work. I’m not really a fan of the RNG either, I opened a lot of cases and didn’t get a card. I just didn’t spend all my credits trying.

but look, it got you to join the forum and relate your experience with the other forum members.

Personally I like this event a lot and hope this trend continues. It gives people without $$ something to work towards in-game but if you are rich and want to spend $$ you are guaranteed some special stuff for your money. But to be honest my tone would probably be different if I were in your situation. I’ve been insanely lucky and have pulled 14 skins so this has been great for me.

(blufflord) #5

No one is a fan of RNG but this is the price we are paying for a fun non p2w f2p. I mean, if you REAAAALLLYY wanted an event case, you could always buy the elite case pack.

(Ptiloui) #6

At least the cases were not gated behind event currency

(pumpkinmeerkat) #7

Your 100th case didn’t care the other 99 were duds :’(

(Your worst knifemare.) #8

Still a free chance to get a special card just for playing.

i have opened 104 yesterday…

no CW skin…seems i wont be having the coolest skin in the game after all…

Yea, a strong feeling that they must grab their wallet and go buy tons of cases with $$$ to get any event “prize” :#

Wanna any of my Vassilis?

(ImSploosh) #12

This is by far better than the other events. You don’t need any event currency with some ridiculous conversion rates and there’s not multiple layers of RNG. It’s simple and simple works best. Buy a case with 2% chance, pray to RNG, and good luck!

Don’t get me wrong, the last few events had good intentions I suppose. I guaranteed case looks nice, but the execution was bad. This event allows you to purchase tons of cases if you have money saved up, you also get cases as drops, and you can play more often/complete missions to get more credits and ultimately more cases.

My biggest regret is wasting 800k on the previous Hexadic event. The conversion rate was awful and getting cards was a pain in the ass.

(Mc1412013) #13

98%lead cards thats including every case opened including the lame daily play cases. Dont feel so bad.

(n-x) #14

The chance based reward system still sucks. Be it with additional currency or without. Because it is just not balanced. Some people play their asses of and put a lot of currency in it and get almost nothing (me) other just play a little bit and buy just a few cases and get lucky with a lot of cards.

I really dont get why they just dont use the system they used during WtD for trinkets. Play x hours and you get your first card, after additional y hours your second and so on. This would be a fair reward system with a clear progression. I mean, there would be still RNG for the actual card you get (which is bad enough). But RNG to just get a reward is plainly annoying.

(LadyNecroPed) #15

How on earth is RNG better then a system where you actively work towards a reward? I spent over 100k on cases and got NOTHING because of nothing more then RNG. Were I able to actively grind for the reward, even if it took a while I would have gotten SOMETHING. How is NOTHING better then SOMETHING. RNG events are not fair, do not reward you for time and effort and can even punish you for doing so. I was saving my credits for mercs, ended up spending it all, and more on cases trying to get nothing more then 1 single loadout card and I didn’t even get it. Thus putting every bit of credits I spent to waste. Don’t care what anyone says, events like this are dumb. Count me out from ever bothering with RNG events, it’s bad enough for ranked matchmaking, now events too? Not worth my time and effort at all.

I would legitimately kill a man for a Vassili event card or season 1 ranked card…

You guys complain that you have too much credits and nothing to buy. Then complain you spent your credits because of the RNG. The worst part is that it gives you the percentages. You KNOW what you’re getting into when you buy those. If you buy a car and the salesman tells you theres a 98% chance it will blow up before you buy, who do you get mad it when it blows up?

I’m not complaining about having too much credits. I’m complaining about spending ALL my credits on an event that gave me NOTHING. When I in fact could have bought the two new mercs. I basically got nothing that I wanted out of all my 100+ cases. And I’m not complaining about spending my credits on RNG. I’m complaining about the fact that an event that is completely RNG does NOT reward people for time and effort. There are a lot of people like me who spent just as much on event cases and got nothing. Did we know it was going to be a 2% chance for a single card? Yes. Did we expect to not get a single card after 100+ purchases? No, definitely not. How is an event that does not give you ANYTHING after such investment a good idea in the slightest.

Using your car example, I would get mad at the salesman for even trying to sell such a dumb product that has a 98% chance of exploding, just as I’m mad at Dirty Bomb for having such a dumb event.

the event is aimed at people who has credits so the spam when javelin hits is lessened.
but then, there are people who keeps 100k minimum just because being smart is a thing.

(WatchAsILead) #19

@LadyNecroPed Why are you getting mad at Dirty Bomb for something YOU bought and YOU knew the risks of? YOU risked you credits to fight that 2 Percent RNG. Would you of been happier if they didn’t do the event at all? Then you would be complaining about nothing to spend your credits on. Would you rather everyone got a guaranteed CW skin? Then you would complain they are too common. The skins are supposed to be hard to obtain, they are supposed to be rare. And your reward for your time and effort is more opportunities to get a CW skin. Someone that played 80 hours out the event will get more opportunities to get CW skin than someone that played for 10 hours.

… Someone that played 80 hours out the event will get more opportunities to get CW skin than someone that played for 10 hours.

funny kids … obviously u dont understand how RNG works… thats pure luck. If what u said above was the case i’m totally ok but its not. I know ppl who play less than 10h and got 3 skins (from ~10cases) and me who opened ~200 cases and got 1 skin
