This community seems very mature

Everyone here just seems so mature. People don’t rage when someone mentions even one thing they dislike about the game and often try to help other people out or have at least a relatively decent discussion.

I recently posted on the BF3 forums how the game seemed too much like CoD and I got flamed both because “You haven’t played the game yet” and also “It’s a Battlefield game, of course it’s different you ignorant fool”.

Here I don’t notice any diehard fanboyism or people crazy for the hype, it seems people here are actually just excited because the game looks like fun.

Just my 2 cents, or 3 cents…not very good at counting.

I just said that the new trailer seemed a bit like CoD and that hopefully we get more information soon besides a single player trailer.

You mean the ‘refrigerator on a train cart’ style of gameplay? Well, as with Bad Company 2, I don’t think I’ll even remember the game has a single player campaign. And the multiplayer in Battlefield is a totally different game that what they have shown until now.

The benefit Brink has of being a new ip, wait until Brink 3/4 is announced.

Erm, as in every community there is a big bag of idiots too… And I for one think that the level of fanboism is wayyyy upper than average :rolleyes:

In other major titles Fanboyism is always “Go back to Halo/CoD noob”. Here it’s just “Brink is the best game in the world you too should play it”.

Its because you missed the good ol’time of the Justice league, now they old and rambling nicely but they used to be very entitled :slight_smile:

The “Brink isnt ETQW” comment was their battle horse, while we countered with “Brink is slow”, all ended in a mess involving a “Mongoloid” insult and the forum exploded! Call this a pre - battle for the ark… :smiley:

Then SD redid the forum and locked up our tongues in a golden cage @ their offices, and now we are damned to lurk here for eternity!

This board seems a bit more subdued than others, but I guess that’s mostly because BRINK isn’t your average America vs. Russia/terrorists/illegal aliens shooter 12 year old kid plays for da headshotz (Actually, I think the T-rating even keeps the kiddies away. “No gore? No buy!”). Of course, there are more than enough skitsnackers here, too, but they don’t come as rampant as you’d expect from other boards.

Just because we’re not the online equivalent of Jersey Shore as expected to be from a shooter community does not mean the discussions we have are tame.

Yeah around that time the community would probably have stooped to a level of discussing the merits of including a tactical nuke.
