This Community Of Ours

Somebody’s got to say it, and I’m not afraid to admit it… I love every single one of you guys. I’ve only been here maybe less than a week and already I’ve seen more incredible, friendly, helpful, and downright hilarious individuals here than I have over every single other video game forum I’ve been on. I would consider you my sisters and my brothers… okay maybe a 5th cousin twice removed here and there but you’re family nonetheless! I just feel that everyone should know what a fantastic job they’ve been doing keeping this community how it is, and I don’t just mean our awesome moderators either, but they deserve all the love in the world for what they do!

However with all that said, it pains me to say how different the in-game community is over the forum community. I wish we had the same positive, caring, and helpful atmosphere there as we do here. Not saying it’s terrible and it’s hard to make gamers change their behaviour in-game(Heat of the moment; sometimes people get worked up and angry, it’s completely understandable), but it would be nice to see an improvement over there.

All in all though I am proud to be part of this Dirty Bomb family. Thank you, all of you, for just being who you are, and allowing me to be who I am with you. <3

[MAJOR EDIT]: Due to our lovely and wonderful spectacular community we’ve recently established our own Community Forum Steam group located here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/DBForumCom
Feel free to join as this is a community effort to bring together all of you into an organized environment where we may be able to participate in public matches with the intentions of pure fun and friendly gameplay with fellow DirtyBomb players! There is no perfect way to do this as of yet but once private servers are introduced I’m certain we’ll be all having the most fun we can possibly muster from this incredible game!

People on the forums are great. People in-game are usually shits.

Community on forums+in-game/=/Community only on in-game.

In fact,on each game there is part of community which is better and worse(more like APB,LoL and other game types would summary that).

Another fact:30-40% of in-game players usually went hate/ragequit mode.

Thank you for that true words(My Fletcher pet cried everytime when he read that :I)

Every community have these toxic players in-game and on forums as well, more or less.
Always will be someone raging on forums and being salty/toxic, but as long as majority of users know how to avoid toxic behavior, forums are better place for everyone.

Oh please, you’re going to make me blush

I know what you mean, I’ve played APB: Reloaded for a fair amount of time, worst community I’ve ever seen, but at the same time I’ve met some of my best friends on there. Every game is like that but it seems to always tip in scale for bad or good… normally it’s bad, but I’ve seen a lot of potential for good in Dirty Bomb, and almost no bad here on the forums.

(Lissxy) #10

Awh I hope it’s true when you guys say that the forum community is nicer than the IG community. I’ve bumped into a few situations where I’ve been wanting to mute people… whether they were my teammates or my enemy. Please embrace me with your open arms.

(Draza) #11

Don’t worry, we don’t bite
You’ll find idiots ingame tho.

(Lissxy) #12

Which is why I’m hoping to make some fwends here.

You will, trust me. Lots of nice people around here.

If you’re even the slightest bit active around on the forums I’m sure you’ll make friends real quick, people are super nice here and always willing to help out!

(Lissxy) #15

Sounds good! I am not as moody as my avatar looks. :frowning:

(JesseKomm) #16

Don’t worry once your profile gets to Private(20 points) you can change your avatar!

(SteelMailbox) #17

1st, thank you indeed most of the forum community is willing to help and be awesome in general as for others in game (Hackers, noobs that call others noobs and general assholes) I like to think of em as 4 year olds and not as part of the community.

(JesseKomm) #18

Mhm, I feel as though for any game you’re only part of the community if you’re an active member of the forums, it shows you have the commitment to get to know who you’re playing with or against, to find out exactly who each and every one of us really are beyond the matches we play. It’s our attitude, and our willingness to work together as people to help and care for each other that determines the success of the games we love. Forever fighting the scourge that are hackers, who aim to do nothing but ruin games… not just matches.
