(ExpressO) #1

(BoomStick) #3

(ExpressO) #4

Nu-uh!

I have played RTCW.Gets old after a while though ;).

So i say ET2!!

-cough-

(ExpressO) #5

Hmm…but ET does have its problems…so i dunno…do either and ill be happy…not like you guys care anyways

(RAV3N) #6

wow ExpressO u are one confused little boy

(Oxygen - o2) #7

expresso, u are confused, this is how te whole wolfenstein scene works

RTCW2 > RTCW > ET

there wont be a RTCW 2 any1 but me think that RTCW2 and ET2 would be the same? just different names. there going to change the gameplay anyway and add new stuff, all it is is a name, besides, i want single player, its fun

(BondyBoy007) #8

I dont want single player, it’s crap

(Oxygen - o2) #9

i like singleplayer, its great, you usually get the best weapons i mean in RTCW tere wasnt a tesla in MP and the venom and panzer really sucked in MP they wernt uber weapons

(BondyBoy007) #10

but RTCW SP was over before it began, I’ve never liked SP games since Q3 CTF anyway - you don’t get the same satisfaction when killing a CPU controlled person

(ExpressO) #11

As i said on a couple other topics

It gets boring after a few times of doing the same obj over and over and over again…but on ET you can kill different people :stuck_out_tongue: not just cpu dudes that get one hit and fallover…but the tesla was cool

(Cerebrate) #12

I’m 75% sure ET2 will never happen. 90% sure it won’t happen before 2007. The Oracle has spoken.

(BlackDeath) #13

Make RTCW 2s singleplayer like HLs or HL2s and ill be inclined to play it

(ouroboro) #14

RTCW2 > RTCW > ET

I beg to differ. What with the recent D3 excitement, I found myself installing the original DOOM shareware as well as this old gem which I own the full version of:

I’m afraid Wolfenstein 3D still reigns supreme, although I can’t remember if I ever played this or not:

P.S., http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/03/18/news_6091777.html :frowning:

Also, the idea of “covert ops” came from his original C64 game over 20 years ago: http://www.wolf3d.co.uk/castlewolfenstein.php (scroll down and mouseover this image):

Gawd, that brings back memories :open_mouth: Was i drawing to hard on the bong one night or did I see a secret level in Doom2 taken from Wolf 3D that has something like a cyber demon in the last room? Comes out into the main room where you’ve got Axis chaps and a lot of walls to hide behind…

That C64 game looks like a very poor rip-off of Monty-on-the Run tbh - hope the music was as good heh

(Sick Boy) #16

That’s the ubar-secret level hidden in the secret wolfenstein level in doom II. It has some commander keen’s you need to shoot in the end

(evilsock) #17

\o/ yay - it wasn’t the grass after all  - funny thing but DoomGL supports the original WADs along with all the nice things you’ve come to expect from ‘modern’ fps games (sort of) - the most interesting (I thought) was that it allowed a non-dedicated Doom server which supports a 4 player cooperative mode - if you set the monsters to respawn when killed (nightmare mode) it makes for a fearsome ride

Will Quake4 become the ‘new’ Doom whilst Doom goes off to do battle with Res Evil, Silent Hill and the rest?
