The WORST perk in the game

(unfathomableBaguette) #1

Many people are fortunate enough not to get this perk but I traded up four of my bronze cards for a silver Bushwacker and and got the “Pineapple Juggler” Perk. This perk lets the player press F to pick up a grenade and throw it back and it is so useless and dumb. Most Fraggers cook their grenades before they throw them making this perk useless to go pick up a nade then die. Do you guys think this perk should be updated or buffed. I think it was a waste of a good perk spot.

Most =/= All.

(Rjsto) #3

It did once save my life, felt like Bruce Willis, worth all the hours it has just been sitting in my loadout card

(XavienX) #4

I think it should have the nades resetted when you pick it up. And can you pick up Nader’s nades?

(Mr-Penguin) #5

I don’t think you can pick up Nader’s nades.

Pineapple Juggler desperately needs a rework, whether it be to reset the fuse of a grenade or to grab a nade off of an assault’s dead bodym I’m all for it.

(Jojack) #6

At least it does SOMETHING. There are serveral perks out there that aren’t even functional. Any one of the could hold the title of worst perk ever. But the true champion, in my opinion, is the Lock On Perk specifically on Fletcher cards. He doesn’t even have an ability that functions with this perk.

Ok, to be fair it seems that sticky bombs used to function something like proximity mines so it worked back then. However, what kind coding gymnastics does it really require to swap it with explodydendron or any other perk in the game that is functional?

Flying Pig is as far as I know also an augment that doesn’t work right?
But yeah, Lock On for Fletcher seems miffed after seeing videos of it.

Looter on Vassili though, maybe it’s not the worst but… I just don’t understand why Vassili of all people has it, given that most of his kills will be on the enemy side.

(wittyChicken) #8

Sneaky. At least make it 50% or something that actually makes a difference.

Flying Pig at least is somewhat usable on paper (or would be).

Allow it to pick more things that Fragger’s grenades : add to this Skyhammer’s airstrike marker, Nader’s grenades, and why not unarmed Proximity Mines and Sticky Bombs.

(Imagine if you could throw back to a Fletcher his own sticky bomb, in the face !).

(LifeupOmega) #10

Can’t really agree with the airstrike marker due to the sheer cooldown and use of it, but the rest of it is fair game.

(Yes) #11

Unless they reduce the cooldown, similar to when it gets thrown indoors, then there is a way to counter airstrikes on the EV other than pushing it/leaving it and hoping it misses.

(frzn) #12

Yeah, looter gets my vote for worst perk even on other characters because enemies are usually closer to each other than to you and your teammates.

(Dirmagnos) #13

One of the mods for ET had an epic feature - kick. Literally a kick… with a foot.
And aside of being able to send opponents(or teammates) flying off high ledges it was an invaluable tool to mess up with the game by kicking off grenades(timer didnt reset) and airstrike markers(that changed “allegiance” as result, allowing to turn fieldop airstrikes on his own team).
In DB pineapple jugger is one of the crappiest perks there is. Along with a few other ones. Balance is nonexisting. Its probably even worse than one that gives 50% slower mg overheat.

(frolicsomeCrane) #14

To be honest, most of the perks are literally just trivial nonsense in my opinion, anything apart from Chopper and Explodydendron seem pointless due to them being literally unusable, oh wait, I forgot the explosive damage reduction, yeah. These are literally the only perks that are worth it in the game.

But there are also lots of pointless (And hated) weapons in the game, I’m looking at you BR Cobalt Fragger that I crafted and made me decide never to craft a cobalt again.

But imo, I really don’t consider any of the other perks worth it apart from those 3. Hell, you can play the game without any perks and you won’t miss much.

Edit: Now I wonder why the opposite of “Heaven” word is censored.

@MissMurder told me she was going to look into the list of words that are censored.

(bumbertyr) #17

it’s technically a nade and let be honest, it’d really help combat the super spam on chapel x.x

(Jostabeere) #18

You should be able to throw back all explosive projectiles with it. it should be a very high-risk, high-reward skill.

(RuleofBooKz) #19

ET Shrub had the kick - but airstrikes were a smoke nade so u could kick it to put off enemy airstrikes (ie. kick smoke nade into a building to abort the airstrike etc). Reg nades could also be kicked of course leading to the “kick the kick” death sport game

in fact the smoke nade to signal airstrike was heaps better than the “dot and line” thing we have in DB. Even ET QW did airstrikes or violators better

I’m honestly surprised nobody has mentioned the try hard perk yet. Pineapple juggler seems alright on paper, but obviously in practice it falls short (not to mention not working as intended atm if I recall correctly.) Try hard is a perk that, in my opinion, functions poorly both on paper and in practice. For it to be useful you have to die three times without killing anyone, and then you have one life with +30hp. While this is definitely a significant bonus, it’s a one-time bonus. It’s not like you even see this perk on cards for mercs that could make good use out of it like medics, but on heroes like proxy, bushwhacker, and rhino (lolwut).

In all honesty I am incredibly confused as how anyone could think the perk was a good idea to implement.
