This was recorded a few days ago on Oasis, after the server pretty much emptied when the previous campaign had ended. A few of the regulars who were left on the allied team decided to take a chance and try a backplant (forming a tower of teammates at the back of the guns so an engineer can plant from the other side). Since this is a pretty rare phenomenon (and an even rarer occurrence to see it work) I decided to tape a demo of it. What followed was a long series of attempts, an attack or two on the stack of allies, and a situation where I eventually had to join in to make it work. A bit like a blooper reel, come to think of it ;).
I’d actually seen it done only once before, I think, way back when I first started playing ET. I still think it’s a pretty funny thing to watch, and now I’ve been part of such an undertaking I guess I can say it’s even more fun to participate in it
In any case, I uploaded this mainly for the few people who also participated in the plant and who’d like to watch it, but it’s worth a gander even if you weren’t there. I know it’s customary these days to make avi files of demos, edit them, add music and all, but I haven’t a clue how to do that. Anyway, if you’re interested in seeing the demo, you can get it here:
