Is that the input screen for hack/whatever and is it animated?

It’s just them gui surfaces used on strogg panels that see around in some of the maps, not tried making one for use with hack objectives yet though, should be possible, wish I could have looked into it for maridia before.

EDIT: not animated, was thinking of making the corner icon animated like my avatar on these forums.

texture looks good, though maybe a little too rocky on the bottom (where you can actually walk) might want to make it a little more sandy :slight_smile:

Nice []V[]. Very original stuff. Terrain give a big Plus to the map. Some really nice things can still be done.

How you did your terrain UV? It’s not a “projection from the top view”?

That’s just a quick “sketch” where I want to go.
I’ve been curious to see those textures in real time , cause I re-worked them under Photoshop.
I will keep in my mind the sandy bottom. :wink:

Yeah - I’ve worked on this terrain hardly , never stop to think about the gameplay !
Will be fun. There will be some little change.
Of course, it’s terrain of 32 768 units.
UV - yes , it’s just TOP PROJECTION , I’ve just played with Altitude Lower and Upper Value. Only 4 textures.

Yes, i see [iWi]. Seens the horizontal projection do not use the top_projected_UV, since they heve 1x1 ratio pixels.

Foothold

Dunno if this will ever actually become anything, just playing around:

Location is Stroggos, right at the start of the human retaliation against the Strogg. Think the same timeframe as the start of Quake 2. Most GDF transports are being shot down, however one troop transport has managed to make a crash landing near the base of this areas anti-aircraft gun. GDF must infiltrate the Strogg tower and destroy the gun so that more GDF troops can arrive and take over Stroggos!

I love the megatexture… the water shouldn’t be orange, but dirty brown would make sense… I also LOVE the foggy sky… feels like it’s a desert planet (TATOOINE) =P

I want to see more… lol!

Love the recent terrain screenshots.

Tron- when you get to it, that terrain could be cluttered up a bit with some loose rocks and debris.

In Q2 Stroggos was a bit more orange - probably due to the sun color.

I agree with WhiteAden - the fog is a nice touch.

I’m afraid the “planet stroggos” theme does not make things easy. If this was in earth, you can have wide more options to go. Haven’t you any more info about this map? Objectives? Location of things?
