The turret spam is real.

(Alchimi) #1

Can’t understand why people complained about phantom in free rotation… when there’s turrets EVERYWHERE and around EVERY CORNER!!!
This free rot is gonna get really mental :stuck_out_tongue:

(giftedBull) #2

They have to put in place a system that allow only 2 of the same class. reduce spams.

(frzn) #3

I’ll still take it over nader+proxy spam.

It would have to be 3 so that you can always use one of your equipped characters.

(Hadouken) #4

“Grenaten”

(KattiValk) #5

Bushy, Bushy, Bushy. Planting was never more of a pain.

I’ve seen an entire Phantom team today; I don’t know what to believe anymore. It probably was because I was MVP via ridiculous flanking using Phantom. He’s actually quite fun, if only melee was useful in combat vs a gun. I never knifed with him.

(Conqelson) #6

Don’t understand why free rotations aren’t random for every player. The devs can be so stupid sometimes.

(Alchimi) #7

Hey, that would be funny. Not sure about balance/fairness issues, obviously, but it would be fun.

([eXo]Deeds) #8

turret party baby! play phantom and sneak around! wuuhuuuhuuu :hushed:

(robustWonder) #9

It does show weakness/exploits in having too many of one Merc.

As for the turret spam, I see a lot of snipers killing turrets or Naders bouncing grenades at them around corners.

(Alchimi) #10

It’s not as drastic has the first day of the rotation now, but I still do see a lot of Bushs.

Of course I’m one of them cause I’m taking advantage to try Bush, and I love him. I’ll surely unlock him at the end of the rotation. Love Sawbonez too.
Still have not tried Phantom.

(Monty) #11

And lets face it, if people have no engineer mercs, they will use whatever merc is in the free rotation. Not long ago that was fletcher, and we had nothing but teams of fletchers throwing their stickies at everything that moved.

As for turret counters… use of peek-a-boo granades takes care of them.

(Alchimi) #12

Yeah, with Nader it seems that 2 nades are required to kill a turret…

(Monty) #13

Yeah, two unless you manage to land a direct hit. But on the bright side, you might also damage whoever is in the vicinity of the turret!

(peppyDirector) #14

Still better then mines everywhere

(Eox) #15

Arty is pretty great at clearing sentries, so is Nader. You can also try with Fletcher.

(Ottah) #16

Superior sentry defense

(Alchimi) #17

Yeah, I’ve already saw this spam turrets.
Useless but funny has hell when ennemies first run to it without expecting that… :*

(Amerika) #18

I prefer Nader week over Bushwhacker week. Mostly because new players to Nader forget they have a gun and are easy to kill despite the fan (super jumping forward F’s them completely). But less experienced Bushwhackers put their turrets in places that no experienced Bushwhacker would or should. So you’ll ignore corners that NO SANE PLAYER WOULD PUT A TURRET and bam, run into a turret. And at close range their DPS is insane.

I will definitely be playing particular mercs this week to counter the turrets.

(Gi.Am) #19

Phantom is kinda nice with all those turrets, use the stealth to get past the turret kill the bushwhacker behind it and then disable the turret. Not so fun if Bushwhacker spots you and drops the stealth before you are past the turret ^^.

Only thing that I don’t like about the ammount of bushwhackers is that quite a few forget/don’t know that they are engineers and have a job to do.
It’s a bit stupid if you got 3 of them on your side and are still the guy who has to slow plant/repair to get things moving just because the 3 are busy playing towerdefense somewhere else.

(Sorotia) #20

First, I’ll admit to using him because I really wanted to try him…that said…I’ve been in multiple matches where 4 of my team mates were using him…so when I get a comp like that I take the time to try Sawbonez.
