I think Bushwacker rotation is the most ridiculous, imo he’s the easiest merc of them all to play. KEK-10 is amazing with tons of ammo and his special ability is fire and forget anyway, and autoaims, no need to maintain it. Can we take out turrets? Sure, i took out many, but by the time you take out 2 turrets and/or engineers, the others respawned and have placed new ones, and taking out turrets while engineers spam their 45 bullet magazine super accurate smg on you too, is not easy :slight_smile:
When i got friends starting Dirty Bomb, i always suggest bushwacker as the easiest Merc

Fletcher week was nothing, He takes way more skill to play so there were barely any good ones, that said, if it’s not fletcher week, i never see anyone play Fletcher but myself. Fletcher falls in the same category as Kira/Arty imo, he’s slightly outclassed or takes WAY more effort to be good with.

Phantom week: no problem, despite what people say, Phantom is really easy to counter and he’s situational, on many maps or parts of maps he’s of no real use or would contribute WAY better as another merc, ESPECIALLY vs more experienced players, which btw, was already the case pre-nerf.

Fragger week: now this is very annoying, imo fragger’s still the best overall assault, his oneshots are the real deal

A team with 3+ medics is also very annoying to play against.

Like people said: games with too many of the same class are a weakness in Dirty Bomb atm. Maybe there should be limits.

Caps are not going to and in my honest opinion should not happen. Yea, it starts getting dull running the 3rd time into tower defence simulator, quoting a bit of GI.Am’s neat reference if you mind. I think rotation system and lack of caps is…pretty much “for science”. Or for “data” in this case. Sheer volume of class X on the map Y gives tons and again tons of echo for developers; where people place turrets, where they rack kills, what routes Phantoms like to take and how effective those where, were these actions having any impact on round outcome,…

Like people at SplashDamage stated, propably on Reddit etc., that when Phantom was released, their team had played him for few weeks. Pardon for not recalling the exact amount. However once they released him, immediately just the people who had 50k lying around and bought him outranked their playtestingtime in thirty freaking minutes. That is massive saturation of information. Where else than public madness and chaos would we see how a match of 6 Bushwhackers vs. 6 Phantoms would turn out? For science!

Same thing might just be one of the goals of free rotations here. While yea, personal free rotation would still induce quite large amount of players of class X, not even nearly in the masses of free-for-everyone way it is now. RNG could accidentally do it so that lets say Bushwhacker would come available mostly for AUS players, while EU players would have very limited amount during said rotation. And that said, personal rotations would be must less focused and controlled. See how Phantom and Bush are on same rotation, focus-wise. Or remember that Rhino-Vaseline rotation? Now you KNOW what mercenaries are going to be popping everywhere so you could do like some people, yours truly included, by picking counter classes for said mercs in their squad for most of the rotation. Nader’s always couple of times more fun when there’s turrets to blow up and Phantoms to direct hit their cloacky face :>

I love bushwhacker week honestly. I get to play bushwhacker, amongst all the other new bushwhackers and help teach new people how to properly bushwhack :3. . . . . . . …

That and I get my friends to play him, put two turrets on either side of a door and watch the hilarious outcome as we bait an entire team to there fiery deaths…that is fun too.

Rotation is a blessing (allowing to test not owned mercs) and a curse. It’s not just bushwhacker that gets spammed. Usually, every merc on rotation gets spammed. I’d actually like to see the effects on the game of a two week no available merc rotation. Because right now one has to mainly expect both teams to have a majority of ratation mercs. It’s dull and leads to spam. Sad story.

Yeah it’s the same thing on other games based on unlockable characters with a free rotation going on.
Example Heroes of the Storm. It’s easy to find a ton of Nova’s and Zeratul’s when these 2 are on rotation.

Litteraly started playing again yesterday and what i saw was 4 bushwackers on my team playing tower defence on Chapel fuckin placing turrets on the little bridge and on the way up the stairs literaly at the begining. And if it wasn’t for the turrets we weren’t gonna hold them off for so long but it wasn’t like a wall of turrets just in little neat places. Also today 3 people on my team were playin as bushwackers on Bridge and they managed to put turrets on the bridge and hold off the enemies but they reped the ev and the theh got spawncamped with turrets and we won.

The only time the turrets are a problem for me is when they catch me off guard. If I know where they are I just toss a couple nades, and maybe kill Bush while I’m at it if hes a noob.

Trouble I’ve noticed along with turret spam most Bushwackers don’t actually go for the objective…they focus on kills only…then again most people do that anyways.

I guess no one watches the movies and don’t realize this game isn’t every man for themselves…

Well to be honest u don’t rly need explosives u can just get the smallest peak at a turret and destroy it or just peak around a corner shoot at it go to cover and do it again. But most of the time a turret’s gonna get u when ur off guard i do agree on that.

I also have the feeling that no1 watches the trailers and r just dicks who tbag. I agree they don’t do the objectives and they just either play tower defense at a part of the map or try to do some dumb shit.

And is it only me on the DONT be a dick part no ok.
