Hi

Have made a playable version of my map.
This is just a alpha version - so i would be glad for all the feedback i can get.
I have some issues to fix yet - but its time to release a version.

Story : Aliies have to take control over the port - fight their way to the main bunker and get control over the stationbuilding.
Steal the gold and the radar system and escape with the truck.

Players : 6-10 per team

Spawntimes : Axis 20 / Allies 15

nice map, as i already said on the server…
but the command map is not detailed enough i think. you should add the routes inside the building to give the players more information about where they are and where to go…
and of course the things i also showed you: the two (nearly) empty rooms upstairs of one building, the too short water-brush and the large way too dark room near the dynamitable gate…

i would like to test the map with more players… maybe we can meet with some members of this forum to playtest?

Very nice looking map. Good to see you were able to get inspired by the sewer in my map =)

A few notes:
The ambient sounds in the first part of the map, outside the first allied spawn, is too loud.
The rock texture you use for the mountains, is not very realistic. You are able to plant mines and it has a “gravelsteps” surfaceparm. I would make it atleast unminable.
The rock texture seems too either be too low quality, or too scaled. It looks good from a distance, but when you look at the ground, it does not look too good.

Apart from that, a great map, I might have to try and ask my clan leader to add it to our server.

first glitches:
I couldn’t destroy the train-door, to get the gold
I stole the card and could bring it to truck (was taken like gold)
As I stole the truck, it went through closed door :o

U can open the train door via a button which is behind the truck (i also plant before 1000 dynamite to the train before i see the button). If you open the trein door u can destray the grate which defend the gold.)

Btw imo this remote thing to open th train door is wrong decision. I disable it via sciptside.
The radar door is OK.

U must open the gate with the key card… :wink:

@ walk_on_sky - have started on a new command map - will add all the buildings/routes on it.
yes - would like to have a good test on it - dont have time before monday - would gladly set up a time for a test next week.

@ Avoc - agree - i think the look of the mountain texture looks good on distance - and not so good when you are looking right down on it - will see if i can improve it - shaders and scripting isent my best sides.
The caustic texture looks great - thanks.

@ Doofy - after you have open the the garage door with the key card - you have to use the switch(behind the truck) to open the train doors where the gold is.
When you have delivered the gold,you are able to open the radar gate with the second switch.

@ Molotov - will see how the gameplay works - will do adjustments if needed

@Neil -the trees looks great - thanks - its good to have someone to ask for help

maybe was hard to understand, wat I mean, than look on pic(no offence, I mean english isn’t my native language):

keycard isn’t on his place, I could bring it to truck (and it was taken like gold or instead of gold, as gold is still on it’s place in train) ; I entered the garage through door left from garage(with button), without using keycard

Try it yourself, bring keycard not to the garage-door, but to the truck, you’ll see wat I mean

Ahhh - ok - im with you.
This will not happen often - so ill wait to fix it til the next version - it will come soon.
Will have a test on it very soon - to see if other changes are needed.

Yes you can - because i forgot to make the trigger_flagonly_multiple on the truck invisible until the keycard are delivered - that will be fixed in the next version (the trigger dont have a targetname - so i cant make it with only a scriptfix).
So if you take the keycard and deliver to the truck and take the gold and deliver to the keyholder - you will manage that.

well first of all, I love the map …
second, not only I do, lol … the other peoples liked it also…

So here the screenies I made ingame:
there is a ladder which isnt working as ladder:

these doors have void behind :smiley:


the lights in the tunnels looked like this at first, after a restart of the map they worked fine.
well, on changing my own position the image changed of the light… after restart it was a flame…

well I think that has been mentioned allready, to short… dunno

this has a closed top, shouldnt be translucent

i remember long ago when u posted the first screens ppl already said “awesome screens”… :stuck_out_tongue:
but to say something exact, especially the lighting is wellmade… or i could praise the fine details everywhere…they were surprising (thats uncommon in et maps xd)… lazy to list every bit i liked sry xd
funny that i couldnt pick anything else than a missing flagpole from the construction creates in the sewers :stuck_out_tongue: (10m flying around in spec)
btw, u made this map alone? oO and when did u start? how much time is in it? just curious :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for your comments.

Have a new version ready this weekend.

Have made a new command map
Fixed the trigger on truck - not longer possible to mess up the gameplay by deliver at the wrong place.
Allies has a hard time to capture the flag - the entrance to the main area is very small -
so i have extended the station building so its connected to the culvert from the sea.
Added a ladder in the elevator shaft - you cant get trapped on the roof of the elevator anymore.
Have decorated the empty rooms in the port.
And some textures and minor things.
Thanks to all that have pointed out these errors.

@ aaa3 - i started in oktober i think - but it has gone months whitout working on it - but a lot of hours - puhh.
I made the map alone - when i was stuck i asked for help - (thanks Neil)

I want to make some fog to block the view against the sea - it doesent look natural as it is now.
Is it possible to have fog only on a little part of the map?
My idea was to make a brush of seafog to block the view - not sure if its possible tho.
If someone knows a tutroial it would been nice.
