The level of your fellow players

(Trestos) #1

Since currently there is the error that you can farm experience points, I would be interested if you’re interested have what level your opponent or not.

(Trestos) #2

For me it is irrelevant what level have my team-mates because the level says nothing about their skills

(Yes) #3

Nope, not while this bug is around and definitely not if they don’t revert XP. Level used to be an indicator of experience, but now there are people over level 20 that play like a level 5.

(Ghosthree3) #4

I don’t personally care. But I do care that others care.

(srswizard) #5

That’s not english, but I think I understood.

People keep saying, that levels don’t matter, but I 100% guarantee that they will rather play against a team of level 20s, with another team of 20s, instead of a team of level 3s, in a random pub.

I do like to be able to see player levels, so I can have some kind of a general idea about their game knowledge, and so that I can play accordingly.

It’s much less meaningful in competitive play, because some of the top players have hundreds of hours of game experience, which isn’t even indicated by their current level, because of progression wipes during earlier stages of the game, besides, comp matches are decided by which team has better strats and execution, and solo exp farming doesn’t help much with these things, beyond a certain point.

(Fap Fap Master) #6

The exploiters piss me off, will they get banned or rolled back?

(Ghosthree3) #7

I hope the XP is rolled back. It shouldn’t be hard if they have good logs, simply do a check for people earning ridiculous XP in multiple games and set them back a week.

(srswizard) #8

It looks like you do care a little.

But yeah, I wonder how they’re gonna handle the situation.
I was guessing in another thread, that they’re gonna put some poor intern on the job, and have him manually roll back all the exploiter accounts.

(Ghosthree3) #9

I care that people have cheated for levels that other people see as important. I don’t care about seeing levels normally, well, not for more than the reasons you stated.

(TeeKayM) #10

I don’t care if their levels are below 10 or 20. I just hope they’re good players. But I do like playing with higher levels than lower levels simply because of the indication of experience that they have.

Also about this glitch:

I done it once just so I know what it’s about. Got around 100k exp and ended the match and left it alone because it’s insanely boring to do. Spamming the Q key is just boring asf and I’d much rather play a legit match in that time than have the chance to get banned for a stupid exploit.

If you’re thinking about doing it, don’t. It’s not worth the time and the chance of being banned.

Fair enough, m8.

Guys do you know how the developers deal with these exploiters? I’ve seen some people getting 1 million exp in a single stopwatch match, with 50 lvls. I actually tried it once too with a dozen other ppl, only because they said that the developers won’t ban us, just fix the patch and move on.

I earned about 400k exp. But I then realized the dangers of doing it and dared myself to stop it. Everyone wants a legit match, right? Don’t know about you, but the developers of this game REALLY spends their time on fixing the bugs. Exploiting ain’t worth it if you can get banned 4 weeks, if not, permanently. But I guess they will set up this thing where that they have a program that scans people’s accounts, and if they have over 50,000 exp in a single match, then I guess they can do good things, meaning as in the majority of the community, and vice versa for the exploiters.

(InvaderGir) #13

If I’m understanding this correctly yes I believe levels matter to an extent. I don’t believe they speak for much but I usually assume someone who’s lvl 10 understands that the ammo symbol above a person’s head means you should probably give them some ammo.

(Fleshpound) #14

It is a term of skill and experience, not a level.

If level 1 can legally be MVP and carry the team as proper fire support/medic/engineer,i do not need a interest of levels.

(AirborneAsian) #15

I only voted ‘I do not care’ because I always rush and do not think clearly, I should of change it to ‘Yes, it interests me, in a bad way’ lol. Cause Whenever a player with 6 lvl or lower kills me, I laugh at ‘how low lvl they are,’ even though they kill me. And whenever someone kills me with an iron, lead or with a default loadout, I laugh at them in the inside, and check their lvl.

Sigh. I never get to rank up. LOOK AT HOW MANY DISLIKES AND DISAGGRES I HAVE IN MY ACCOUNT, JUST BECAUSE OF ONE STUPID THREAD. I really thank you for your understanding.

(D'@athi) #16

I don’t really care, after people got a bit of experience you can’t tell anything statistically from the level, nor if one has a good or a bad day.
Ok, these lvl5s, naturally not beeing able to know all of the maps, nor the games specialities, I usually got stuck with playing competetibe, of course. There the level somehow mattered, but as nobody could do anything about it, also irrelevant there.
And as even that competetive-problem got “solved”, from another party naturally, for the time beeing, probably even forever, so whatever lvl5’s-competetive.

On the xp-cheaters, two things.
First they didn’t help their team intentionally map after map.
Second, if they exploit for irrelevant stuff like the level, and the case every four maps for this (if the above 100k/map are about right), then they will cheat and exploit on relevant stuff, too.
So plx, zero tolerance, not just setting their xp back. Even with this, they will come with a new account, as this special sort of people always do, when they are allowed to.

Meaning? As in banned? Well, if they do, I hope they just set my 400k exp back, not just ban me, cause I only done it once, and the whole entire team and enemy team was doing it all together, like how a team should.

(Gaspoline) #18

voted yes, cuz I need to know if I need to teach them how to revive

(Ghosthree3) #19

You can’t just ban all the people that xp exploited. They deserve it, but it hurts the player base too much. Just roll it back, maybe give them a suspension for a couple of days as well.

(AirborneAsian) #20

My idea of doing something to the exploiters:

If they did it too much, either suspend em’ for a couple of days or 1 week - 2 weeks.

If they did it with less than 500k or did it once, just roll back, with a warning. Maybe 1 day suspension?

Anything over that than suspend for 1-3 days.

I imagine exploiters with over 250k credits and lvl 60 or something. Suspend for 1-2 weeks and a couple of days or just 1 week.

And roll back, of course. I only did it once because it was all new to me and I was pretty hyped. But I will never do it again.
