So far, the only weapon I constantly need ironsights with is Tampa. It sprays all over the place without ironsights, its hit area seems to be a bit over twice the size of the machine pistol on full-auto. I have taken it as a habit to enable iron sights before getting into a situation where I get into a fight, since you can’t shoot when you move your gun so that you can see through the sights. This is quite alright though, since it leaves more room for melee in close quarters and leaves the choice of not using iron sights sometimes effective.
the iron...sigh(t)
I actually think the ADS in this game is a bit underpowered. It takes a long time to scope in and the result isn’t particularly better than just firing from the hip.
Also, the random spread on weapons is slightly off as well, in my opinion. So, even if you wanted to and were capable of being skillful, the game wouldn’t let you. The spread is utterly random. There’s a set margin of spread no matter how you shoot. It doesn’t shoot bullets where you aim, rather, it shoots bullets within that margin radius of where you aim, completely randomly.
See someone’s head conveniently sticking out behind a table? Well, tough luck, the game doesn’t let you be accurate.
Which would be somewhat fine, if headshots in this game wouldn’t then as a result come down to random luck entirely. The times I’ve seen 50% of my health disappear into thin air in a split second, just because someone decided to try their luck at spraying…
I understand that the developers wanted to give the choice of either to use ADS or not to the players, but fact of the matter is, it’s not a passive choice, it’s an adaptive choice. You use it where it makes sense.
I use the Greeneye scope with the Gerund and shoot the Carb-9 from the hip. I hate having to use the Greeneye, but it allows me to shoot across the map and take my opponents down.
Lol , yeah we where happy because we never heard of it back then in FPS… Now it’s a must in a first person shooter obviously !
This thread is pretty unnecessary because i’m pretty sure 80% of the gamers prefer ADS.

yea. well. the thread is over a year old. turned out that the ironsight got realized just as i hoped it to be. so, yes. the thread is pretty unnecessary. so is your comment. because this thread is unecessary. why should i reply to an unecessary thread. that would be unecessary.
but cool that it just hit the 4000 views. thanks to everyone. first and foremost thanks to those who actually discussed here at a more mature level.
but you did reply to his comment…
anyway, I grew up with all them extremely arcade shooters, they were fun back them, some are fun now a days but, when i play a game without irons or ADS i miss it. it adds realism to the game and if you use it at the wrong time you go down. it adds thought and strategy, when to use it and when not to use it.
this was a pretty good topic, not a bad read. made me realize how much people really like the oldskool shooters, brought back some good and bad memories lol. but i like where we are now with fps’s, lets evolve with this genre instead of being stock with each game or devolve the genre!!
