Well, grenades are probably quite realistic. It takes five i think to disable the tank. In real life you probably could break the tread of a tank with five grenades and thereby immobilizing it. The problem is when you compare with pfaust, arty, and airstrike. 1 pfaust should IRL easily immobilize a tank, a well placed shot should destroy it totally. For arty/airstrike direct hits would destroy it, near misses at least disable it.

Since destroying it totally is not in the game, making the panzerfaust and perhaps arty a little bit better at immobilizing the tank would be a good balance.

Or, as you indicate, making it some 15 nades to immobilize it is perhaps more in line with how much damage you can take in the game vs IRL. For example 3 headshots kills you in the game 1 headshot IRL. 6 bodyshots in game, perhaps 1-2 bodyshots kills you IRL.

Hmmm… as usual Jahuu I’ll have to disagree with you here. PF soldiers can provide lots to a team, by taking out mass quantities of the opposing team, thus putting them into limbo. You can’t win if you’re not alive.

PF plays a pretty large role in matches and such when the teams are limited to about 7 players. If one panzer can take out 2 or more players that instantly puts the favor in your team to win the upcoming battle because your team outnumbers them.[/quote]

Yeah I gotta agree as well. I primarily play medic, BUT I’ve actually gone panz ho in a couple of real matches cuz it FORCES the other team to break up their defensive postions when they clump together. They start opening up their defense and giving up some good positions in fear of being picked off as a group by 1 ho with a panzer.

Doesn’t always work, but it has it’s place. I do like the idea of a timer in it arming though. . or a minimum number of feet it’s gotta travel before becoming “live”

For starters how about getting rid of the LVL 1 upgrade that makes you toss Panzers ridiculously fast? Make it at least the LVL 4 upgrade or get rid of it all together.

Secondly, make them NOT ABLE to shoot unless they are crouched and stationary.

No jump shooting whatsoever, if they were to try make them insta-gib themselves without causing harm to those around them.

i think a better change would be:
-panzers use 2/3 of the power bar
-HOWEVER you can only launch a panzer when you have a FULL BAR.

so there’s at least 15 seconds minimum before you can launch a second panzer. my suggestion anyways.

cuz currenly with a CP, you can launch a panzer 5-10 seconds apart.
