I LOVE ET … i mean its the best game in my opinion … but thing is its dying now days … so much inactiviity 
i play etpro 3.2.6 2.60b and i see no cups/leagues are happening if they are some are called of or not much teams sign up … im guessing ET need to be upgraded?? with better graphics but same gameplay … which i think wat everyone wants? no? i mean just the gfx need to be improved but gameplay shud remain same
and wats up with overdose? is it gonna be same gameplay?

This project is already going 
I believe it’s called ET Xreal. They’re basically keeping the old style of gameplay but upgrading the graphics renderer from the vanilla IDTech 3 to IDTech 4 which has realtime shadow rendering and more.

This game will never die: it is like bowling, pinball, baby-foot, etc… simply a unique game, it is enough.
And maybe in 10 years, there will be only 5 servers, but always full on fanatic ETPlayers, it is enough.

Actually no one didn’t except that Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory will survive for so many years.
I don’t know anybody who knows somebody who don’t know what is Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory.
It’s famous game.My uncle played it in 2003,I was 7 years old then^^
And this was the year when I played Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory first,battery:D
8,4 years,1720 servers up,lot fun.

Don’t really care to much of this talk… Me and our guys in clan will continue playing this game until there is something out there with dedi servers for both win and linux, same gameplay and such…
And total dead it can’t be, there are players out there… They even joined us at our ETnam server from time to time.
I love the game and love this comunity and will do mine to keep it alive…

ET is not dying. Business is picking up for my clan.
After years of experimenting, I have figured out one truth. People like the original ET. The more mods I add, the less interest people have. Large mods kill business. This is why NQ has always struggled…yet its developers blame it on stupid things like a patch. There is nothing wrong with the original graphics, messing with it is the biggest injustice of all.
Here is recipeipie for ET’s success
- Keep the original graphics
- Fix only bugs
- Add only features (i.e., admin commands, ingame mail, and more player options…etc)
- Always remain backwards compatible for patch versions
- We need a renewed effort in etpub (too much attention has been going to crap mods)
- Keep the original ET installer (only legal installer) alive on all sites
- Keep up the progress on an ET300-like project
Maybe we are losing some players but it is because of every other reason in the world…NOT the age of ET and its graphics. Its too bad many developers are in denial of this. A few people are stuck in this fantasy world called “bleeding edge” and it clouds their judgement.
