You’re below the minimum requirements.
The game will probably run, but performance may or may not be acceptable depending on your expectations.
The first link Worked THANKS FOR THE HELP!!! jfunk and thanks for helping too to_few but i didn’t get to use your link
thanks anyway!

Great! Glad you got it working.
If you get the chance, report back with your feelings on how well the game runs on your system. May help others with similar specs in the future.
ERhm i cant even play campaign with out lagging like hell so if you want to play the game you should be ready to buy a better computer if you are below the reqs or else you wont be able to play the game propperly.
You can try lowering some graphics settings to see if your performance improves. Resolution in particular can make a big difference. For example, if your screen’s default is 1600x900 try running the game at 1366x768 or 1280x720.
have tried still to much laggy ;/ so i will spare for a brand new system to get it run perfectly ofc i have some money now but not enough to buy a pro pc so.
_and to all who sees this forum b4 they buy the game DON’T. if you do not meet the reqs. your game will run really bad. you cant play campaign without LAG!
so Dont buy it if your system doesnt meet the reqs WASTE OF MONEY!

Try these drivers: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst115ahotfix.aspx
Do note that your system is below the minimum requirements though, so you may not be happy with the performance you get even once you get the drivers updated.
Is it really below? Because if i try to use “Can you run it?” it tells me I have more tha minimum requirement. Maybe just the ati.
Ok thanks anyway for the reply…but…how can i install that driver? just download and let it install everything or i have to do something else? because i had already install it and it didn’t work.
And I have another “problem”. Steam recognise i can upgrade the driver. Steam download the latest one and start to download BUT then it continues to remind me to this updater.
Hope you can help me!
Use the link in my signature to grab the latest AMD driver hotfix (currently the same link as jfunk’s).
Ehy,
thanks for the help. BUT no way. Brink doesn’t work. I tried to uninstall my driver and then install the 11.5b hotfix but it doesn’t work…(no changes i have seen in my mycrosoft system information). I also tried to install it without uninstall anything but the result was the same…nothing change.
Any other idea?or suggestion?

Something is not working properly with your driver installation.
There is nothing Brink can do about the fact that your driver is saying it does not support OpenGL 3.1
If you post the results of a dxdiag, we might be able to help a little more.
And yes, this graphics adapter is WAY below the minimum requirement of an ATI 2900 Pro.
See this chart for a general idea of the relative performance of various graphics chips:
Your mobility 4570 is roughly equivalent to a desktop 4550. That’s nine tiers below the 2900 Pro listed as the minimum for Brink. The user above reported unacceptable performance on a mobility 4650, which is quite a bit faster than your 4570 (5 tiers on that performance chart). “Acceptable” performance is very subjective though, so your mileage may vary.
Your chip DOES however, support OpenGL 3.2 so that’s not the cause of the error you’re getting right now. You’re getting this error because your drivers are not properly updating.
EDIT: Just a little more info. I went back and checked some previous ATI users and was able to find that Mr. Hubris did report successfully getting Brink running with what appears to be acceptable performance on his Mobility 4570 using the drivers I linked for him here:

OK, so we can confirm from this line that your drivers are not updated. OpenGL 3.1 support was not introduced into ATI or NVIDIA drivers until late 2009, sometime around August or September I believe.
What happens when you run the driver executable files we linked to you earlier? Do you get some kind of error message? Maybe give the driver I linked in that Steam thread for Mr Hubris a try. It’s modified to work with some laptops that normally can’t use the generic drivers, but Dell is not normally on that list. It’s usually Sony & Toshiba that are the culprits there.
Oh yeah, sorry I glossed over the XP and the modified drivers I linked in the Steam thread are only for Vista/7. Not sure if they ever did a modified version of those for XP. Still seems unlikely that you would need them though, I would expect the generic ATI version to work fine on your Dell system.
Can you tell us what exactly happens when you run those linked in Crispy’s thread?
No problem at all.
When i run those drivers, Ati Catalyst just opened and begin to install the drivers…that’s it! ah maybe I already told you…but the updater on steam doesn’t work too -.-
