Sup,
Cheers for the feedback, ill try and update the driver and ill get back to you
Just updated all my drivers for the card
OpenGL Version 6.14.10.8202
Still not working, coming up with the same error as beforeā¦
A lot of AMD users have this issue where their game simply wonāt run, even with all of the minimum specs.
Iāve upgraded drivers, downgraded drivers, cleaned drivers, reinstalled the game, switched my video settings every which way and nothing. At this point itās looking like some of us are stuck waiting for a patch still. I just hope theyāll focus on those of us who bought the game day one and still canāt play before more performance fixes, because if I could even get to the main menu Iād consider it a great victory.

Not sure where youāre seeing that number, but there is no such OpenGL version.
What kind of computer do you have and where did you download your drivers? They arenāt working properly or are old.

There is nothing Splash Damage can do to āfixā this particular issue. They have no control over what OpenGL version your graphics driver is reporting. This error can only be corrected by fixing whatever driver problem you have on your system.

My laptop is a dell studio 15
Pentium Dual-Core 2.00Gz Process (Under minimum i know)
4.00GB Ram
64-bit OS
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570
How i found out my OpenGl version is to go into
Control pannel > Personalization > Display Settings > Advanced Settingsā¦ > Catalystā¢ Control Center > Information Center then Graphics Software. Mine looks like this:
Driver Packaging Version 8.553.2-081114a1-072190C-Dell
Provider ATI Technologies Inc.
2D Driver Version 7.01.01.838
2D Driver File Path /REGISTRY/MACHINE/SYSTEM/ControlSet001/Control/CLASS/{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}/0000

OpenGL Version 6.14.10.8202
CatalystĀ® Control Center Version 2008.1114.2149.39131
Yeah so far I cant find any other solution. Looks like some graphics cards even though can run openGL3.1 and higher, simply wont run the game.
But if anyone finds any solutions please let me know, i really want to play it!!!

Yeah, thatās about a 2 year old driver.
You need to get updated drivers installed.

Iām assuming it said it couldnāt find a compatible graphics device. Did you make sure you downloaded the correct driver for your video card? Seems pretty easy to accidentally select the GeForce 200 series from the drop-down rather than the GeForce 200M Series on nVidiaās driver download page.
yeah, i selected the correct one and thats wat i gotā¦ Im still tryin to fix this and i get told to unistall my driver, or buy a new one or all sorts of shenanigans t-t and i appreciate the help
You could try grabbing the driver from here:
The Windows 7/Vista driver download links there include a modified ini file which includes more device idās than nVidiaās drivers generally allow. The issue is, some OEMs configure notebook computers with a video card that is made specifically for that vendor. They might have slightly adjusted device IDās which prevent the usual drivers from installing because they want to control what drivers get loaded onto their devices. This seems to be less common these days than it used to be, but it does still happen.
For AMD and NVIDIA users, if you are not using the drivers mentioned on the link below, the game will probably not work. Youāll be wasting your time trying to make the game work correctly with any driver older than the ones specified there:
http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24711
Note that you usually get fresh drivers from the manufacturer of the Video Card, NOT the manufacturer of the Computer. This sometimes is a problem for laptops like the previous post says.
If you donāt have an AMD or NVIDIA card. You are probably out of luck. Intel, which is probably the most common IGP, doesnāt seem to provide OpenGL 3.1 support not even on their latest solutions.
hi guys
so same Problemā¦i installed the driver 2 times an same problem -.-

i hope u guys can help meā¦i dont knowā¦new Graphic card?
/criz
Hmm yeah i think its one of those things of being patent and waiting for a patch or asking around and seeing which graphics cards are working.
My mate has a HD Radeon which works fine.
Iām sad because the game hit the criteria for a great fps game that was moving away from the arcade style fps which cod had created. Will be a real shame if they are not able to patch it.
For you Dara either wait and see, or spend money on a graphics card which might not solve the solution.
Cheers
SaXo
ok,
so i got brink like a week ago, worked perfectly outta the box, and last night it says āThe current video card/driver combination does not support open gl 3.1 or newerā and i dont know how to fix it. The thing is that it never had this problem until now ive had it fr a week. i would check what my driver and what not are, but i dont know where how to get to them on windows 7 (new computer)
PLEASE HELP!!! I WANNA GET BACK TO MY GAME!!!
