The best solution to satisfy "Objective points are hard to get" complaint.

Make mounted turrets and ammo boxes destructable and repairable B)

Another objective for Proxy’s to not repair!

(Your worst knifemare.) #3

Why would anyone destroy the ammo boxes?

Just like the main and secondary objective, and pretty much objectives in general in pubs.

Cause the’d think to grind by destroying and repairing over and over. When in fact they would receive way less points.
Unless it’s destroyed by the enemy team, then more points for repairing!

imo i like it if it works like this:

Engie repairs the ammo station, then he gets support Exp each time someone took ammo from it instead of objective Exp

because objective Exp is too easy to get.

(FishRolls) #6

Give us objective xp for killing people playing objectives, and maybe a small amount for killing people in close proximity to one.

i thought cutting it fine is an objective xp medal?

Or just add Execution and get your objective xp fast

It’s not just about Objective XP, it’s something bigger…

THE DYNAMIC

Maps would feel more alive with more repairable and destructable elements.

You sure about this? I think is useless to have more stuff to blow up and adding them will have almost 0 impact to the game. Even though I don’t mind destroying turrets

If only the future of “next gen destructable environments” became true, as foretold in mid 2000’s… WORMS and Red Faction already did it before… and there goes the evolution of video games…

(Eox) #12

I wish I could say something against it, but I have litterally no arguments against it.

(Teflon Love) #13

I don’t get the whole issue with objective XP being difficult to get. Either pick engineer and repair the EV or pick Arty/Skyhammer/Kira and destroy the EV. If you don’t mind playing CMM, remove as many none EV maps from the map pool before starting a match so you are more likely to get an EV map.

(ThePigVomit) #14

ESCORT THE BLOODY EV!!!

(K1X455) #15

I already said it earlier…

I haven’t played any of the recent Worms games, but cutting out pieces from a bitmap image like in the first one isn’t exactly the same as carving holes into three dimensional geometry made of polygons.

(Wulie) #17

…I kinda never have that problem. When there is an EV- Shoot it. When there is something to plant and no engineer… near plant it. When there is something to disarm, disarm it (when there is no one more suitable near), and if everything fails- stand near the thing you planted and protect it.

I hate support XP, tho.

(Mc1412013) #18

Heres a thought crouch behind ev follow it and take out any one in sight or play nader/stoker/artie/kira or any one that can deal masive damage to ev and just kill the damn thing. If people stop spending the whole time running around every where except by ev it wouldnt be an issue. I can kill 90% of my objective requirements staying near the ev and moving/repairing/attacking it

I stopped counting how often it has been said in this forum already but for the new guys:

Need objective XP? Switch to Arty and destroy the EV.

Need support XP? Switch to Arty and dish out ammo like there is no tomorrow. Try to hit team mates directly as it gives a bit more XP than when they have to pick it up from the ground.

Need combat XP? Switch to Arty and spam your artillery every 15 seconds at spots where enemies are common to bundle up. Especially look out for that cozy red health station glow.

Need XP from any game mode? Switch to Arty and just do your thing.

Too many Guardians around that block your artillery? Switch to Kira instead. It might take you a bit longer but the principle is the same.
