I know the dlc is only days away on the 360 with the patch that may or may not fix some of Brink’s issues. However I went online last night, first time in a week or so and could only find one game. The same bunch of US guys more interested in chatting than playing lol. Even if there was more games out there the community has clearly shrunk massively in the last fortnight. No amount of free dlc can save Brink now.

So with a heavy heart, bitter sweet taste in my mouth and a dent in my wallet, I traded it in today.

My son and I played last night, many a game, only one lagged game (believe someone dropping out), but other than that it was great fun. I have longed for a game which resembled Stalingrad fighting and tactics. Carnage, blood, explosions, etc. We were playing in the aquarium map, and my son was just looking around at the structures. (Then he got capped) LOLOL) Hoping when Brink 2 comes out that the buildings and such show damage as in Bad Company game. People who want to make Brink into another CoD game, please don’t.

I don’t think that is what he is saying. I agree with him. I like Brink enough to play it but if people don’t play it and I can’t find full games then it what good is that? He is not alone. I couldn’t find a full game either. Whether you had one or not it doesn’t matter. The last 2 days I’ve had trouble finding full 8v8s or competition matches that actually begin. That is the truth. I’m not the only one on my friends list either. That has NEVER happened to me on any COD/BF/Gears/Halo game. EVER. You can pretend like there is some great community all you want. Eventually you will have to face the truth and then what? Play with bots? With the same 4 or 5 people over and over again? You go ahead and do that bro.

Thankfully on 360 with the people I have met on this very forum I have been in more full 8-people-in-a-party-on-the-same-side games than I have ever experienced in Battlefield. If not for that, this game would be less fun.

Yeah no doubt me too. The reality is though that can only be sustained for a short period of time. More players means more time being able to play this game. Unfortunately it doesn’t look too good right now.

I want to play right now but I know I’m going to be frustrated when I can’t even begin a competitive match and I really don’t want to play an 8v8 match with 14 bots.

Even against bots the game is fun, so long as you are playing (effectively co-op) with 4 or more friends with whom you are talking.

Thankfully I play on 360 which has the largest player base. I was in a game this morning that started about 4v4 and was full by the end of the match. Just on plain Standard mode. But with no VOIP chat it wasn’t/isn’t as fun as playing with friends.

There is NO enjoyment in beating bots. You didn’t outsmart anyone, you didn’t outgun anyone and you didn’t beat anyone. Good job beating some 1’s and 0’s.

Maybe the first time you could find SOME enjoyment playing against bots, but that wears out.

Paying 50 bucks to play an MP only against bots would be the last thing I would be doing before I would shoot myself

I play to play with friends, talk, coordinate. I like winning probably more than the next guy but I play FPS games so that I can have some human interaction. Therefore, it can be fun playing against bots. That is why playing co-op games is as popular as it is.

Perhaps you find no enjoyment beating bots, but to say absolutely that there is “NO enjoyment in beating bots” is silly.

Well maybe that’s casual thinking, and not competitive viewpoint you have (which isn’t bad). But if you want co-op go play some other games FOCUSING on co-op. Portal 2 was great. I’m sure there are others. But not a game that focuses on MP but has to fall back to co-op.

I’ve been busy the past couple weeks and last night I put Brink in the ps3 after work for some well deserved gaming. It’s a complete ghost town. Matches were fun and exciting when it was all or mostly human players. I give up. I traded it in today for movies.

I have never had any problems at all at any time finding full servers, and I even filter out FF on servers.

on pc there are fewer and fewer people :frowning: its a shame cos im nowhere near bored of this game. i really like it.
