That's it, I've thrown in the towel.

I get the fact that a lot of people are disheartened. June DLC turned into July DLC, game slowly being made better by patches, but nowhere near AAA lvl yet.

The thing I’m learning with all this, tho, is patience. There is not enough patience in the average consumer these days. My Brink gametime has definitely dropped recently, but no way am I going to trade it in until I get to see the FULL content SD have in store for us! If I had traded in Reach after a month and a half, I never would have got to play on some of my favorite maps of all time.

I realize I was comparing apples and oranges there, but the simple fact is waiting for this DLC could be worth it. And if not? So what. Trade it in then, you’ll still get your measly $15-20.

I hope the DLC breathes more life in to the PC game and attracts some players back. Wait and see…

I’m personally not playing as much now just because of the frigging weather not because I don’t want to play, waay too hot x;x

I don’t think the game itself is the problem - I think the fact that it is too hard to find populated games (even when the community was there) coupled with the struggle of trying to join games as a group just put people off.

When you can get it an full game of humans it is awesome. Unfortunately, getting to that point is a lot more work than most other games, so people will take the path of least resistance. I know I did. But I’ve kept the game in the hope that the DLC revitalises the community to a degree and I can have a few more games.

I really feel the ball was dropped on the front end and lobby aspects of the game, not the game itself.

Maybe fewer people, but have you ever lacked full servers? I haven’t.

(nick1021) #27

You do realize with fewer people you have less options? You might not get the best connection of those players. You might not play on your favortie game mode. You might not play on your favorite map. You might not play with people that are of your skill level. And you will def. get bored playing with the same people.

When will you fanboys get this into your head?

they are often either full or 1/2 full. i also see 1/2 the team leave at the end of each map.

im on PC btw
I know the dlc is only days away on the 360 with the patch that may or may not fix some of Brink’s issues. However I went online last night, first time in a week or so and could only find one game. The same bunch of US guys more interested in chatting than playing lol. Even if there was more games out there the community has clearly shrunk massively in the last fortnight. No amount of free dlc can save Brink now.

So with a heavy heart, bitter sweet taste in my mouth and a dent in my wallet, I traded it in today.

Tatty bye.
I had you on my friends list and you rarely play at all. So it is not fair for you to say that you could not find people to play with. Sorry, finding people to play with on Xbox is not hard because the games are full.
