Team balance at its best . Not to mention how many times we tried to shuffle .
that team balance tho..
A lot of the balance is determined by teamwork, team composition and how much people are trying to get objectives done/ trying to prevent objectives getting done.
Stop whining and take the loss.
There’s this stupid culture built here where people whine for “Fairness and balance”
This is supposed to be a competitive game, take the loss and learn from it
For fucking sakes
Only in this game
Only in this community have I witnessed this
What the fuck is balance in a competitive game?
Do you feel entitled for the developers to make this game EASIER for you. Specifically YOU.
pfft… “only in this community”… right
You havent done much sports have you? In pretty much any competitive sport ever you compete in your appropriate tier.
Stomping novices, beginners or players tiered lower than you is anything but competitive.
Kinda weird that people haven’t caught on as yet that curb stomping noobs equates to less credits, less xps per game. Makes no sense to me. I don’t mind a little imbalance, friends want to play with friends, but outright stacking is just stupid.

The people that are stomping probably don’t pay any mind to credits at that point.
Also, I can’t believe that team took 5 minutes to do that, and you can tell they weren’t turtle-ing the game since nobody has that high of a kill count

Yes, only in this community have I seen so many people bitch about these personal detailed challenges that they suck with and then they want the entire game to change because they suck at it. This guy went out of his way to post a fucking screenshot of a public server match. What the actual crap?! The frequency that I read posts here with someone wanting the game to be made easier for THEM is jaw-dropping. I’ve been saying this for awhile outside these censored forums: people in DB for the most part are not competitive, they are entitled brats.
The actual competitive players do not complain about stuff like “fairness and balance” because they know to take lessons from their losses and that losing is a great thing to experience.
Athletes do not complain this much. I was a decorated athlete, so maybe I have a different mindset of how to take losses. But I do believe that this community is unique for an FPS game. Usually FPS games people are MORE competitive and way less entitled. It’s flipped here and it’s not being talked about.
So tell me why aren’t you winning every match? Please I want to hear ALL about it, and also want to hear your suggested game changes so that I can know how its possible for you to start to win all of the damn time. And please I would like for you to know that your opinion is the only one that matters. Everyone else that enjoys this particular game content and has learned to deal with it, does not matter. To hell with them, it’s all about making you win.

The competitive player learns nothing when stuck in a team that refuses to use teamwork and runs off like a herd of chickens. Yes, sometimes there will be unbalanced teams, that’s the nature of random, but I have seen too many repeated unbalanced teams after the first match to believe there is any sort of robust balancing algorithm in play.
just got from the game where my team got stuck at the respawn on underground…I called shuffle 4 times…they voted no , like all of them…
I’m like this is not happening…there were quite a few good players…yet they called “no”.
Instant karma occured when after almost rage quitting I received a DICKens case ! Hell yeah!

I solo-queued all the way up to Cobalt 2 and then I started playing on teams with friends I made along the way.
I won so many comp matches with new beginner teammates on a daily basis and I also loss a lot of matches. There’s just one small but important difference of why losing benefited me and why you’re here whining about it.

You’re familiar with it, right?
@Arjun
Although I must say. This game isn’t unbalanced at all. Both teams have similar points. It isn’t a bloody stomp. And although you lost, and the other team is much more experienced, the points gap isn’t that big. Suprisingly tbh.
Things like this is what called unbalanced:

P.S. Yes. It was the whole 7 rounds that way.

Are you seriously comparing athletes with some guys who just want to chill out during their spare time by playing a video game?
Not every players start a game to be the King of the Hill you know. Have you heard about having fun? That being said, is it weird for people complaining about balance? NO. When a game is highly unbalanced there isn’t much fun in it.
Since you Sir are an awesome athlete let me ask you, in football why can’t we see top tier teams playing against amateur teams? Oh right, there are divisions in sport.

Why does this sound very unbelieveable?
Despite the fact that we live in a sports fueled competitive culture we still get people who simply don’t know or are unwilling to recognize that perfect balance at all times is not possible. You can try to guestimate balance and put who you think is similarly skilled against each other but it’s just a guess. Now, factor in all of the other things that could throw off balance like merc choices, amount of time played with that merc, personal care level at the time (might be talking on Skype and mostly just running into walls in game) etc. In a public game all of that is relevant in regards to balance yet it cannot be properly accounted for. Just like the amount of time you played does not equate to skill.
Now, back to the sports analogy. In any sport at any level, even the professional level, there are “stomps” aka blowouts. It happens pretty often despite players being matched against each other that are supposed to be in roughly the same skill bracket. But since there are tons of factors that affects the end result you can’t properly account for everything.
Let us move back to Dirty Bomb. Even in high level competition with players who, on their own are considered quite good, you will find a lot of blowouts. You’ll find that in other games as well (check out a CSGO tournament at some point). Sometimes things just click for people when they don’t for another. And this happens in tournament/league games where players are focused on the game instead of any other number of distractions a person playing a pub will have.
I’m not saying that the balance system couldn’t be improved but what I am saying is that some of you are expecting perfection at all times while completely ignoring the real world around you. It’s making you angry and upset due to something that is purely fiction (perfect balance all the time). It’s a pretty well known psychological fact that people will forget a lot of the good times that they expect to be good because that’s “normal” but remember the worse times more vividly. It will color your opinion even if statistically you win more than you lose…it just won’t feel that way mentally for a lot of people. It’s part of why I like stats…you might feel like something is awful but then find out in reality it’s not (like the mk46 and the deagle for me).
Always strive and ask for better. But having realistic expectations and understanding how things work is essential to not being an angry person on the internet (and in life really).
