That old 'get rid of levels' debacle.

(bontsa) #41

@Kakutov You’ve went on a full-on disagree spree on every single person who’ve stated in all mannerful critisim why they think level system is utterly failed and should be changed. You’ve surely made your point by disagreeing on them once, but instead you’ve done it multitude of times all over the thread back there :'D

Don’t mind though, I got my popcorn ready <3 Induce me some quality drama!

(Kakutov) #42

Are you saying that I cannot flag your comment just because it looks like revenge to you? This is ridiculous considering that you’re a moderator.
When you flag a legit post, it will look like a revenge in reasonable person’s eyes.
If you disagree with a post, we got a button for that instead of going for childish flagging.
You wat mate? I didn’t flag his post.

(SereneFlight) #43

I don’t think I ever said you flagged anybody’s post.

(Kakutov) #44

Now I don’t get your point.

(SereneFlight) #45

You’ll get it if you think hard enough.

(Matuno) #46

Hold on, isn’t that what Disagree is about, @Amerika?
Flagging someone is bad, in all cases. But Disagree… You’re allowed to Disagree with someone’s suggestions I reckon. It doesn’t subtract forum points, does it?

I mean, I’m a fairly controversial person (and I love being me), I see getting Disagrees as an inevitable effect of having an opinion of my own.

Don’t be sheep, Morty.

I love how ppl say: “Being a high lvl doesn’t give me +50% health, it doesn’t give me a damage modifier” but at the end of the day they stomp low levels and most of the time they spawncamp them. So if you see these jokes that means you are playing a lot against newbs that are tired of fighting against more experienced player. Just play on min 20lvl servers and you’ll be good.
It’s not about levels, but about lack of balance in pubs.
If it’s not about levels why are you marking people who only talk about levels with a disagree then?

Please do not abuse the system. We are pretty lenient on these forums but we tend to look poorly on people who use the flag system in a manner that looks like revenge. Keep this in mind going forward.
Are you saying that I cannot flag your comment just because it looks like revenge to you? This is ridiculous considering that you’re a moderator.
Situations like this is exactly why this forum has moderators to make judgement calls. I did not remove any of your disagrees. I am simply telling you that your usage is pretty borderline and that you should consider your usage of any of the flags before using them (as should anybody). It’s always better to reply to a post yourself than to use a flag.

It’s fine to use. It’s not fine to overuse on every single post in every single thread. It causes a lot of issues even with it not taking points away from your account. Especially when “flag wars” and “revenge flagging” becomes extremely common if there is no intervention. This forum (and most forums) is for writing posts and not clicking a button.

sigh
The point is that flag button is there to flag posts that go against the rules and flagging posts that don’t violate rules seems like going for childish revenge.
I could draw you picture but frankly I think I’m done with you.

What if I told you I haven’t flagged any post yet?

Now I see. 17 people can disagree with my opinion, but if I disagree with some of 'em then I break the rules. Good to know.

(The_Enema_Bandit) #51

Aw, cool, levels are gonna be hidden soon.
I’m ashamed of the time I spend in video games anyway.

Personally I don’t remember being mocked or something like that, because of my higher level. Sometimes low level players complain about it, then I usually apologize and leave the server. Don’t wanna ruin the game for others or frustrate them.

(Yes) #52

So, instead of being called no-life virgins, we can be called cheaters instead?

(bontsa) #53

Levels, begone!

(LifeupOmega) #54

Every day, every game, until you like it.

Dw they’ll still call you both anyway. I play on my smurf more than ever now to avoid the harassment I get for being a high level but the dipshits who somehow think that no one else has played as long as they have will still call you names.

(Kakutov) #55

I’ve never seen any harassment like that. Its kinda sad to see how some players treat you but on the other hand you cant expect too much from this community.

(Matuno) #56

J0ssh gave me the same verbal abuse @LifeupOmega , @Jostabeere was there. Basically gave me shit about being a hgih level, then gave me shit about my profile picture, the works. Very abusive player, 1/10 would not recommend.

It’s what this earlier quote was about:

(Nexon/SD, you’re very welcome to do your part in disciplining children)

Also, what do you think of Ru0k’s play?

(LifeupOmega) #57

Dunno, I can’t recall him being anything special. He just died a lot. There were like 3-4 people on that server trying to start shit with me so I just went somewhere else.

Had to take a cold shower and sit and reflect on all my past decisions for an hour.

(Yes) #58

That’s exactly my point. The kinds of people that will attack others for their level will just find another thing to be salty about.

P.S. Egbert Jones burned you bad, how did you recover?

Kakutov, you hold every right to disagree with whatever opinion you wish, but when you’re doing it left, right, and center without any explanation or justification behind your disapproval you’re not even constructively contributing to the discussion anymore, you’re just being a hindrance.

Don’t get so surprised when people look down on you for looking ignorant.

(JRMC) #60

People make fun of you for putting your time and sweat on this game, yet they are walking down the same path. It’s a bit ironic, if you see it that way. Games have progression for a reason. However some people put more effort than others.

Those kinds of players are more worried about the life you lead rather than looking themselves in the mirror. Do they pity themselves for being generally worse? Are they even trying to compensate for something when they whine about your effort put into this game.

You do it for your own entertainment. However you deal your life, that’s up to you. No one should question that. Games are a better hobby than many other degrading ones and it’s an escape from reality at times. Their argument is pretty much invalidated right from the start.

They’re playing a game for their own entertainment purposes, yet they make fun of others who have been doing it for longer? I bet they lead exciting lives too, sitting in front of a computer arguing about other people’s lives.

But it certainly would be a great idea to hide ranks. Account levels are always open for controversy, unfortunately. In many ways more than one. They have no real benefit, even if they are meant to show a degree of skill for the player.
