texture problem!?

(cpex) #1

can some1 help me with this?

(stealth6) #2

Is this on localhost?

My first guess is outdated graphics drivers or something wrong with graphics drivers.

(cpex) #3

its no localhost, and my graphics drivers are up to date i think.

All maps or only fueldump? What’s your /r_primitives value?

(WuTangH) #5

Google says it is a problem of newer PCs (x64)…
and on trackbase I found:

I have weird textures: jagged black areas, shiny surfaces, messed up colors, ect.

This one is difficult to describe, hopefully you recognize it if you have it. First, make sure that r_primitives is not set to 3 (should be 0 I think?). Try updating you graphics drivers. Try disabling Catalyst A.I. if you use an ATI card.

(cpex) #6

Is for all maps, and r_primitives value 0, I dont know wat to do?

primitive 0

primitive 1

primitive 2

primitive 3

(Destroy666) #7

In all mods or only in Jaymod? Try /exec etconfig And if that doesn’t help, delete some recently downloaded pk3s in etmain/jaymod folders.

(twt_thunder) #8

what OS are you running?

(cpex) #9

Windows 7 Intel® Core™ i5 CPU, M 450, 2.40 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 64 bit
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 video card i think

I had the same issue on an old PC. However yours actually looks still fine. In my case it started out like that and got worse to the state where there was no normal texture anymore. It is however not the fault of your ET, but i ndeed your ATI Radeon card. I had the same (don’t know if the same serial number, but also a Radeon).

I think your best call is to follow the suggestion WuTangH posted earlier:

I don’t remember how I fixed it, let alone IF I could even fix it.
Nevertheless it’s definitely the ATI. I hope you can figure it out. If disabling the Catalyst A.I. works, please post here for future reference.

If it’s a Mobility driver, you should know that not all manufacturers allows a driver update; Toshiba for instance delivers its laptop with a specific driver, and that’s all… Learned it after trying to update, had to roll back to the original driver from their website @@

7610M here and no problem.

(twt_thunder) #12

could try that

EDIT:
Think this is their temp. site:

(cpex) #13

How it work this program exactly?

(Mateos) #14

Softonic and other websites make auto-alias for each software they host… Often outdated.
