Hello to all mappers out there. I’m not a forum regular, so bear with me here.
I am team lead for a game project called TEU. It’s a horror game that, to give you the closest idea, is somewhat of a mixture of System Shock 2 and the Silent Hill series. We are using our own custom built engine, called the Disunion engine, that has been built from the ground up. The Disunion engine has many modern engine features such as cubemaps, particles, and we’re currently trying to implement a HL2 style water system. Our editor is a version of Radiant that Radiant author TTImo helped to customize for us, called TEUEdit.
As the new year approaches, we are in need of new team members at the moment. The game has been in the works for awhile, and was actually being seriously considered to be taken as a commercial game by Acclaim software, before they had financial troubles and eventually had to close their doors. We have lost a lot of team members to full time jobs (some went to Rockstar, ILM and Torus software among others), and as the new year has come to a start, I’m looking to really get TEU going with fresh new talent.
That’s why I’m here, to look for skilled mappers who are comfortable using Radiant.
The requirements are:
* Experiance and comfort using the Radiant map editor
* Must work well with others and be open to direction
* Ability to create drawn floorplans and map layouts
* Be passionate about video games and game design
* Previous industry or mod experience is a big plus
Of course I wouldn’t ask all of this without giving you something to look at, so here are a few screenshots of what we have been working on as well as our engine capabilities:
