And answer this question honestly please. If you wanted those CW card so badly why did you not bought the 10+1 bundle?

35eur for 2 CW cards that on average have 33% chance having a good loadout is a crap offer. Further you have to hope they are for mercs you play or hope that trading actually arrives someday.
I have a cool story to tell you guys…after the grindy weekend I have today opend two regular cases non-CW already as the event ended. So I told myself, frack this…opened first , boom silver thunder…opened the second…loading…loading…loading…
… after 5 minutes I’m like ok to hell with this…cancel…the case disappeared…daaaaam… I check my loadout screen, boom golden stoker out of nowhere…fracking RNGesus trolling me hard…ok gn8, kthx bai
So now you’re trying to equate this to racism? Can you get anymore flame bait? @Faraleth
Can we get some mods to do there job please? This guy is doing straight up nothing but trying to cause flame wars. Every single post has been rude and inflammatory way beyond reason.
My posts are rude but those guys who keep saying SD is a greedy company because they didn’t drop a skin completely forgetting the other things we got for free or that players are worth less because they didn’t play that long aren’t rude? Please check both threads before you write biased things down, thanks.
I get this argument entirely - at the end of the day, the game has to make money, and stuff like this encourages people to buy it rather than keep grinding away hoping to get a drop. The problem is, the 10+1 bundle was still shit. £20 for yet more layers of RNG where you get drops for mercs you don’t like or weapons you hate, it’s far too convoluted.
I think most people will agree that we don’t want the game dying because everything is too easy to get as a “free” player - heck, a lot of the people arguing over this have spent money already. It’s just that what you get for your money is pretty meh. If the 100% CW cases had been in the store for the same price as elite cases, even though the RNG on the cases is shit, I probably would have bought a bundle. Considering how much I hate elite cases, that’s saying something.
Just my 2p. I know we’ve talked this to death this weekend, I’m sure something exciting will come up soon for us to bitch about instead
Edit: Just saw @Jostabeere’s second post, wanted to add: Yeah. Calling SD greedy over this is silly - if nothing else, I’d call this misjudgement. We’ll see how things go with the next event. At the end of the day, I’m glad to see this sort of event appearing, even if I didn’t get exactly what I’d hoped out of it.
I think a lot of people need to remember that this game is FREE to play. You have to remember how much splash damage has just given away. Loadout cards (higher than bronze) are purely cosmetic and that they have the right to charge whatever they think is right to earn them all decent salaries. The system could have probably been implemented better, but, still, they have to earn money somehow. If you don’t want to spend money, dont.
Enough with free to play crap. A publisher should not price gouge the people who are actually supporting the game. I’ve already spent the price of a AAA title on this game. Anything over that for random skins, in random levels of rarity, in random load outs, for random mercs, is absolute lunacy I wont partake in. Glad someone paid them, but sorry, I’ve done my part.
After reading and seeing people open 90+ elite cases, which would total $450 usd at regular price… Thats one person covering the cost of themselves AND 8 free players at $50 each. ($50 being the price of a fully functional and tested AAA title)
If your business model is trying to get 1% of the players to support the other 99% by spending some peoples entire weekly paycheck every other month, it’s not going to work. Even the top 10% spending 50-100 each event isn’t as effective. At least not to same level as trying to get 50% of the player base to spend $20.
All I’m trying to say is they wouldn’t have to have the guaranteed case in a $30 bundle to try and get a few people to buy one or two if they could just convince a larger slice of the players to spend $5 or even $10.
Also spent 60ish euros, it was enough for me. I don’t even mind personally the prices they have on Cases/Mercs or whatever. My issue is that there is RNG on everything.
RNG can be fun, but when there is RNG to get RNG with RNG for an RNG (just like you said) that is the “oh hell no” for me.
Once they reduce the RNG, I start to invest again. In Path of Exile I’m running with 3x 1000$ supporter title.
Give me cosmetics, less annoyance to actually get stuff if I pay, and I start paying.
It isn’t what he was trying to tell…
1st thing: “I’m fine a level 2 get one” - @DMaster2
“I’m fine a level 2 get one, but…” just sounds like: “I’m not racist, but…” and the following part which accurately shows how he is thinking a player is worth less than him based on the time making it a pretty heavy insult.
Seriously, he and the other guy got on nearly fascist-like level over some damn skins which is ridiculous if we think about it. Some skins. In a free2play game. A computer game.

Dude i told you how i would’ve handled the event. If that’s not enough for you then whatever. I was just stating i was a bit jelly to see low level players using cw loadouts while i got none, but doesn’t mean i don’t want them to have them. I would simply wanted a guaranteed one for every player. Not that hard and they would’ve distributed less free CW than they did with the shitty RNG bs.
And as i said in the recent past, i don’t spend 20 euros to get a random CW card that may be for a merc i hate or an unplayable card. If i could pick which card then i would’ve purchased it (MO11 Vassili was the dream), but as it is nope. I don’t pay to get RNG. I don’t gamble with my money, period.
the problem for me is… essentially if you didn’t end up getting a CW skin… the “event” was no more different than regular playing. Hell, if someone asked you “hey did you particpate in that event?”, there would be no way of proving it unless you got a CW Skin. I would prefer having some task/additional objective and a trinket of some sort to spice up so called “events”.
No different from regular playing except for the in-game credit discounts on Mercs and cases, as well as real money discounts, and the double credits earned. I don’t think anyone in the future will care if you participated in some past event.
I got a single CW themed loadout, but it is a bad loadout, and if I had the option I’d trade it in for a useful Gold of a Merc I use in a heartbeat.
