TeamSpeak server dedicated to ET

(wouter) #1

Hi all,
I am a member of the TeamSpeak team and in order to get more people to download and use TeamSpeak we decided to create a TeamSpeak server dedicated for ET squads that can be used for a month, completely free.

TeamSpeak is a voice communication application that lets you talk to your buddies while your ingame. Games like ET become so much more fun if you can shout at your buddies

You can make your own channels on this server (unregistered though, we can’t have a million channels on a server that nobody uses) and have a nice and tactical chat with your buddies.

When you connect to the server you will be in the default channel which is moderated (a lot of people haven’t taken the time to set up their client so they’re echoing or transmitting all the time whcih would bother other people). You can then choose to create your own channel or just have a nice talk in one the Talk channels.

The TeamSpeak client can be downloaded by going to our homepage at http://www.teamspeak.org , we have TeamSpeak clients for both linux and windows.

The server IP address for this ET TeamSpeak server is:
voice.teamspeak.org:10160

Everyone’s welcome and we hope you guys will enjoy it!

Team Speak is great, I run a linux server and am very impressed w/ the admin config features that are accessable through a web browser.

Have a feature question, is there any way you could integrate a game server browser like buddy list so you can see in TS client what game servers your friends are on?

Would be fantastic if you could.

To anyone who reads this post, try team speak, really is quite good.

That’s not really our territory (pun intended) but an interesting idea.
I myself use the All Seeing Eye which I like very much and suspect you got the idea from them

Thx for the compliment!

hey wouter, this is off topic but maby you can help me here - i have a teamspeak server, with old version 1.5 and i encounter very often the same problem, when a member joins the server most of the other members get somehow disconnected or stay connected but the others don’t hear them anymore, that’s quite annoying, especially in clan games… is this a bug or the problem of the server?

Well. Post it in the appropiate forum mate  I can’t do support on somebodies elses forum, doesn’t feel right.

I just suggest going with ts2 which is better in every way than ts1.

Check out TS forums muffinman, and upgrade !!!

I thought they deleted this thread, glad they didnt.

It seems like our server isn’t used at all :frowning:

I thought it would attract a lot of people but unfortunately it doesn’t.

/me goes to promote it somewhere else

Wouter, I think SDs forum trollers already have their own voice com servers. My guess is that you’re preaching to the choir.

Go to Americas Army forums, those guys are freaky. Alot of posts there about voice coms being a cheat !!!

I really would like to see more people using voice coms, esp for anyone who joins servers w/ their friends/clanmates.
