Most of the game I’m playing in pub are dominated by one team cause they’re stronger. If I try to shuffle, everyone ignores it or click No. Imo team-shuffle by balance should be automatic and without a vote system, if anyone thinks the teams should be shuffled.
Team-Shuffle should be automatic.
I see and totally 100% understand your reason (I experience this myself, too).
But that could be abused relatively easy to abuse.
Say, one guy, who is fairly “bad”, wants to be in the team, where a well known good player is.
So he presses “Shuffle” and “Shuffle” again and again as soon as he’s in the team.
Or, because this is the internet, there will often be this one tr0ll / @ssh0le, who just wants to make things hard, so he will also press “Shuffle” from time to time just to piss other ppl off.
Or say there’s a daily mission where you need X Wins to get 500 Creds. The players will always try to get in the team with the good player(s). So all people will constantly press “Shuffle” to have a chance to be in the good team.
I think it would be OK to allow shuffling between matches in the pauses where you vote for the map, switch Merc, etc.
But Shuffling in matches would not be good, I think.
The problem is with automatic shuffling in-game it will punish the better players. What happens if you’re in a match until near the end on the winning side only to be swapped over and lose in the dying seconds.
Thankfully the matches are pretty short. I’ve swapped over myself a few times to help out as I’d rather lose a close game with equal sides than stomp over another team. I don’t find that enjoyable.
They need to remove contracts that require wins, All they do is encourage stacking
Team balancing needs to come down to the community, a long even game grants more EXP for everyone, one sided stack fests are boring and everyone ends up with less.

Why not limiting it to 1-2 times per match then?
I suggested on another thread that they offer an incentive like in ET:QW. You got offered an experience bonus for swapping over to an unbalanced side. Perhaps they could implement something similar with credits in DB?
Shuffle should happen automatically, but only right as the round is starting - during the overview cinematic.
What about kicking players, Whenever theres an AFK or a Troller in my team the enemy team just declines so they can try to win. i think only people in MY team should be able to vote.
Also it should still maintain friends together. The game would need a “team/squad” option.
Kicking can already only be done by people on your team.
I agree with @sinKrin . I’ve been in situations where I’ve been on the winning side, and quite close to victory, and someone called for a shuffle vote. It’s never passed ( I’ve never seen the vote pass at all ), but I imagine it’d be quite annoying to be shuffled over to the losing team with 1 minute left or something.
I had a game on Underground the other day where I was the only player over lvl 6* We were stomping them until the last obj where I swapped over and we managed to hold them off for 8 or so mins. So balancing can be tricky. I don’t mind swapping if I think I can help out. Sometimes though it’s just best to get the match over with and hope the lobby balances it for the next one.
*As a side note: I’m glad they have added lvl 10+ servers. Although there is a bug in the quick join on those allowing lvl 1 players on (as mentioned on another thread)
We need a automatic team shuffle when one team has two more players than the other one. And this automatic team shuffle can be disabled during the last objective to prevent the last minute shuffle.
I have seen so many new players quit the game because a really unbalanced team. Most of the bad reviews on steam is due to this team balance issue too.
There isn’t anything wrong with team autobalance, EXCEPT for the occasional screwover where you get swapped 10 secs from winning the game.
Ignoring this minor detail, it makes lots of sense.
I forget where, Battlefield maybe, but I seem to remember if a match auto-shuffled you into the losing side when you were previously winning, and you lost the game, it still “counted” as a win. Obviously this only really matters for the missions, and does nothing to take away the feeling that you lost even when you shouldn’t have, but figured it was worth mentioning.
My general feeling on this is just… when it happens, suck it up and keep trying to beat them. The only time it really bothers me is when you’re consistently 1 or more people down in a game.
On the Warchest forums I got a response about the sorting and why it’s done the way it is. I don’t agree with it but their logic is that they only sort when people leave one match and go into the lobby for the first time. Then people join always join the team with the fewest players. No sorts are done either at the end of the lobby part of at the start of the game because the devs think that you will be choosing mercs/loadouts based on the side you’re playing (I guess they think everyone plays Objective only).
I think every game should sort when the match starts to even teams out. If it gets unbalanced during the rest of play then that just happens. But doing an auto-sort when there is credits tied to missions that people are trying to complete isn’t a good solution. If you’re about to win a match and you have the mission to win a match and you suddenly get thrown on the other team it makes for a pretty bad experience. If they got rid of the “win stopwatch/objective” missions it would be a better option.
Actually people always join the team with the least players, unless they’re even, then the Attackers always get the new player. Which may or may not be good for balance depending on the teams.

- There is 30 seconds left in the game
- I have a “win” mission to do.
This holds true with the last game I just played… I just lost 5 games in a row and I finally get a winning team to my mission done. Why would I ever vote yes in that situation?

I like the idea of not allowing X amount of players on the field in the case of massive imbalance.
