yeah they better don’t the whole thing that I like about db is that its objective based and you don’t necessarily need to be good at shooting cause of the objectives it’s kinda its thing
Team deathmatch gamemode
Maybe a gamemode that is similar to the one in Section 8/Section 8 prejudice. They used a normal conquest mode and added different kind of objectives to the mix which they called DCM’s (Dynamic combat missions).
There was for example a small escort mission, defending a jammer or capturing it if you were on the other team. The fun thing was that when you escorted the NPC to the end location, he would fight on your side, if you had the jammer then people couldn’t tag you etc.
These were the dynamic combat missions:
1 Bomb (place marker to land an airstrike on a base) => this one would be difficult for DB since we have Skyhammer who drops these as a perk.
2 Intelligence (bring intelligence from point A-B)
3 Commando (help a NPC to capture one of the bases)
4 Convoy (drive vejicle from point A-B)
5 Outpost (basically a radar which also had an anti air turret) either defend it or destroy it.
6 VIP (escort an NPC to a different base)
7 Recover wreckage (recover a few pieces while the enmy team tries to stop you)
8 Infiltrator (try to get a special suit that gets dropped, it has a special weapon that comes with it).
9 Elimination (kill the whole enemy team)
10 Jammer (defend or hack the jammer)
All these events had a certain time limit. When one was finished, another one got activated. At the same time you had to capture the bases as well.
I feel like the objective ans stopwatch modes are great but as soon as you play with more than 6v6 it gets very hectic. The mode I’m talking about would work perfectly with 8v8 or even more players (if they wanted bigger teams).
Here is some gameplay that I recorded some time ago. 
I really think this could work if they modified it a bit so it fits DB. It would also combine a basic mode (conquest) and add a bit more debt to it.
I don’t know, it’s just an idea. Section 8 and Section 8 Prejudice are still some of my favourite MP games and I’m usually someone who doesn’t like modes like TDM or basic conquest but in combination with the small (side) objectives that help with your teamscores, it makes the game a lot more fun. 
I’m sure a lot of people already mentioned it already, tdm doesn’t fit dirty bomb. Considering what they’re aiming for is a team based game. Not much team work in camping corners, waiting for some sucker to run by
I completely agree but they do need to make some new gamemodes to varie it up a bit. An ordinary tdm doesn’t really fit db that well but these capture the flag and king of the hill or hell even qonquest like in the battlefield franchise would work with some little ajustments but I think the creator of this thread meant these gamemodes and just gave tdm as an example but he really just wants some new gamemodes.

i do want a tdm gamemode specifically because sometimes i just want to shoot nerds without worrying about the objectives, but yeah just more gamemodes would be great. things get boring when its the same deliver/plant over and over

I agree on the last part but I think the tdm isn’t really db’s style so i don’t think that’ll ever be a thing I understand the urge to shoot nerds though

youve clearly never used mines on bridge defence, or rushed into a crowd of people and dropped one. i mean sure you die in the second one but youll almost always take two with you

Since mines doesn’t give, you might kill 1 or 2, or none, but their teammates will revive those who got killed by you

on bridge if you camp on the railway at the start and drop a mine next to the ammo crate and the rampway then sit right next to the train car at the ramp you can shut down the area until people start realizing youre there or your mines go on cooldown
so far its been effective in the early stages to stall for about three minutes for me

The fact of the matter is DB was (and is) built as an objective based game. Mercs are balanced in classes (despite how grey they may be) and removing any kind of focus to replace it with a generic “shoot the red people” (oh dear that came out wrong), would be shallow and empty.
Yeah, some good ol conquest would be pretty sweet in dirty bomb. One of my favorite modes in bf4. Some new modes would keep things fresh for everyone. Though I would like that to happen, but I prefer the road splash is taking. Trying to get as many bugs and balancing issues worked out before implementing anything new.
Id love fucking Deathmatch so all those tards going only for the kills with Proxies and Sawbones would go there and leave obj and SW to those who do objectives.
