You can enter the tank while priming a grenade, and it pops out when you dismoumt. If you are quick, you can do the same thing with a smoke can. This doesn’t seem to happen with mounted guns. I haven’t tried it with the PF.
I don’t see any obvious ways to exploit this, but it does seem a bit odd.
