Tactical use of objective cameras in ET?

SMG Soldier reporting in! :moo:

Alright, I am new to this forum, but I’ve lurked here a bit and haven’t seen any discussion on this. If there is some somewhere, I’m happy to be pointed towards it.

When playing a game, in the Limbo menu you can cycle through the objectives, and for each see a small aerial view of the objective and current goings-on around it, sometimes showing you things that nobody on your team can see. I wondered if you could make use of this in the game (I pulled up limbo as axis on Fuel Dump and noticed that I could see someone hiding behind the tank, though I feel sure that there could be more powerful uses of it).

Would doing so be regarded as a valid use of the tools at your disposal, or exploiting part of the game that wasn’t intended for that sort of use?

Has anybody ever made use of it? Does anyone do so on a routine basis or have worked-out strategies for its use? Should I spawn with a different class/weapon combo?

Well I’ve never used it myself but since anyone can use it, it’s hardly an exploit of the game, so If players want to use it fair enuff.

Its such a tiny little view, and so easy to get to, using it would be in no way an exploit imho.

I have very rarely used it to spot people behind the bridge construction for a quick panzer next to it =)

edit: Oh… And also sometimes I will drop a satchel into the command post on radar, then go up into the upper area and watch my limbo. if someone comes along, boom.
