if we could get a CTF and a TDM gamemode i would be so happy
[SURVEY] The Future Of Dirty Bomb - Community Feedback
TDM will not happen, just forget it. CTF or Domination would be very welcome, I’d say.
Hey, just did the survey.
(I’ve been missing recently, I should be back on the forums at the end of the month)
As always, I noticed when playing a couple of hours during Christmas holidays that EU servers are still in a weird condition. Warps, roll-backs and annoying server mishaps are still happening regularly, especially during most populated hours. And this appeared to me as further more obvious after pausing video-games for a month.
Netcode and server quality should also be a priority for 2016. This is a real problem since the open beta release which has been minimized since. UE3 is capable of producing something way more accurate in those fields and Dirty Bomb, as a somewhat fast-fps, deserves much better.
Besides, for 2016, I’m still expecting more of the same things : more maps as well existing maps improvements, new mercs, bugs crushing and performance improvements.
Again, people mentionning cs:go’s situation about trading : major comp-scenes expectations got resolved in the meantime, thus making cs:go the definitive new cs for the professional scene. And this is quite hard to determine the part both factors hold in this success. Personally, I’d prefer proper game content at the cost of delaying trading. If the game has still massive flaws, I’ll leave sooner, no matter there’s trading or not. Trading is not an intrinsic quality. Dirty Bomb still lack of finishing to have a proper long life expectancy. And trading is a minor factor in this.
@Faraleth @RazielWarmonic: So I submitted my form yesterday, leaving the additional comments section blank. But then I later added a little thing to it, and then I added a bit more, and now I’ve added a couple of somewhat-lengthy criticisms about two unsavory maps just now…
cough
Anyways, what I want to know is if the new comments I’ve left will be seen, or if you’ll have to go back and find my form since I didn’t include them in my initial response. :S
@SzGamer227 the results page I have updates automatically whenever a change is made, and we haven’t pulled any raw data yet – that will be done when the survey is closed
so yes, your new comments will be seen for sure!
for Dirty bomb for 2016 I would like to see yous visit other people at livestream dirty Bomb and add season 2 of loadout cards so like different types and adding new mercs like Turtle and Aimee but manily I would like to see yous talking in other livestreamers channels talking about dirty bomb and answer question that the person chat may have I feel like that will get more people to play the game and get questions answered
[quote=“Faraleth;22347”] Please note: Your responses can also be changed at any time until the time I see fit to close the survey (no static date, likely when responses slow down).
Survey done.
I cant check 1 on the grouping with friends thing strongly enough though super bad idea.
As much as I would like to group with my friends the second I can it’s the death of the public game. Imagine every round where the opposing team is made up of some it not all clan members running vent well organised the game no longer is fun it’s a slaughter.

ive yet to see an argument thts not “No because i wouldnt like it/dont want to play it”
even if its not added first it should still be added as somepeople would enjoy it, and enjoyment is subjective.
I mean of course add the most popular ideas first, say 75/100 people want CTF and 25 want TDM, design CTF first but dont forget about tdm entirely
+1 for CTF game mode, or something like it… here is my interpretation of CTF game mode for DB.
“Capture the Data Core”. (pretty much just like CTF, but with more narrative/meaning behind why you are doing it)
Two Computer Systems are placed on opposite sides of the map, one for CDA and one for Jackal, each side is trying to hack into the other’s systems, but require both team’s Data Cores to attempt a hack.
Each team starts with a Data Core at their own Computer System which is already set in place and awaiting the 2nd Data Core (the enemy’s) for the hack to start.
Your team has to capture the enemy’s Data Core and bring it back to base, while also defending your own Data Core from being captured by the enemy.
Each time both Data Cores are present the hacking process starts, but takes 30 seconds to complete. During this time the enemy is able to stop the hack and return their Data Core, and steal yours.
If a hack is successful it adds hacking progress towards that team, and the Data Cores return to their default locations (each team gets their Core back, but the game continues without any pause or disruption in play)
This would then continue until X number of hacks are completed and your team gains access to the other’s systems. (which could then cause different things to happen depending on the map)

The reason people are against the idea of TDM is because Dirty Bomb is a primarily objective-based game, with mercs who are balanced around their special objective capabilities. A purely combat-oriented game mode would be pleasing to some people, but it eliminates the strategic elements of objective-oriented game modes that a lot of DB players are here for.
I would much rather see a two-sided base defense game mode, where both teams go head-to-head trying to destroy or capture objectives while defending their own. It would maintain the coordination involved in objective gameplay and keep engineers relevant, which is something that isn’t true (to the same degree) as TDM.
If objective elements were somehow worked into TDM games, I would be a lot more open to the idea, but I don’t see any good way to involve objectives without turning it into a different game mode.
Hey Dirty Bomb. If you want new costomers, you have to do more than giving tutorials. Not all of the beginners know what mercs are. how to change them, and different kinds of mode. Just add some arrows and comments that explains what the buttons do. My case, it took up to level 4 to know all of the system.
Also, I have seen so many level 1’s being kicked out from the server (including me) which can be very unfriendly, and can lead them to quit this game. I started to see videos that argue whether DB is pay to win or not cause of the loadout card system. I truely DO NOT believe DB is a pay to win game, but beginners WILL think it’s pay to win if they see gorgeous shiny cobalt player killing them.
Dirty bomb is a fun game but it needs more content. More maps and game modes are needed to sustain the game. A huge update is needed soon, otherwise some veterans might start to leave.
